you have to have the right tool for the job, this is it
I need to do some maintenance on my Suntour XCR fork so I got these to disassemble it. The fit is perfect.Between everything being aluminum on bike and having odd/unusual sizing, you can no longer get by with a regular mechanic type tool set. Luckily these wrenches are inexpensive enough, just plan ahead (by buying tools like this one) and you'll be fine!

Bike work needs lots of custom tools and this one is a perfect fit
I've tried to get by with standard tools working on bikes but you really need some custom tools to do it right. This one is a perfect fit for working on front shocks. Works exactly as it should and grabs tight without leaving a mark. Perfect!!!
