Uses 4 x M12 Bolts
My original tow ball was bolted on using 2x M16 bolts. This uses 4 x M12 bolts (not supplied). Fortunately I was able to line up the holes and fit this unit securely using High Tensile Steel bolts and locking washers. Now I can fit a winch or tow ball or any other accessory. Probably not "type approved" for UK but excellent and widely used in Australia, USA etc. In my view should be adopted in UK as well.

Not as advertised
Rubbish the bolt holes are 10mm and won’t be any good for handling the weight of a cargo carrier and they say there 16mm

Appears well made
The adaptor appears to be well made but I have not fitted it yet as they do not come with any bolts! Unfortunately, the bolt holes on the adaptor are NOT standard M16 bolts that are used by all the UK tow hitch brackets so I have had to order some 12mm high tensile bolts separately. Not an expensive exercise but for goodness sake why not just add a couple of pounds and send the bolts with the adaptor - it's useless without them!!!

Better than the cast ones flooding Amazon. It's a little rough, but it's OK, locking pin is in a slightly different position.
