Works great. Huge time saver for me. Definitely recommend

This is way better than using a coffee grinder!
This rocks! I bought it for grinding spices which I do often. I was using a coffee grinder which worked okay but could only do small batches. This is kind like a small food processor on steroids and super easy to clean. And it makes thick heavy whipped cream , salsa , sauces, and it can powderize the strongest black peppercorns. I came back and bought extra jars for it as the have sealable lids. Makes this super useful for all kinds of meal prep.

Misled by title.
This is most definitely NOT a commercial grade grinder. Struggles as a "kitchen grade" grinder. Having just received my order and trying it out for my use, grinding lumpy brown sugar, I find this unit to be underpowered, grinding chamber is not well sealed, very hard to clean and quite bulky. I encountered problems inserting and locking the bowl to the base. At 6' 230lbs I do not consider myself under powered but I struggled to get the bowl locked to safely commence grinding. One revolution and the motor stopped. after removing the contents and breaking them down to pea sized lumps I continued. The blades just whirled the pieces up to the top and required MUCH repeated pulsing to reach an acceptable consistency. With added steps I will be able to make this unit work but NOT satisfied with what I envisioned the item to be. I wasted a total, after S&H, of $259.00 on this unit. I gave it one (1) star because I had to have something in that blank. I do not recommend this item as a Commercial Spice Grinder. Herb Grinder at most. Here it is. 2023, my old coffee grinder, an off the shelf Walmart Capresso, $19.00, just gave up the ghost. Having forgotten exactly why I had put this Waring up on the shelf for I brought it down, unpackaged it and plugged it in and you guessed it. NOTHING. It just sat there. I managed to get the bowl locked down. I pushed the buttons and there it sat. Being as it is well beyond the return date. I think I'll have it bronzed as one of my life's worse acquisitions.

Good purchase
As a chef, I need functional and reliable equipment and so far this mill has been very good. For now I have nothing to complain about. Very efficient and fast. The 3 bowls are really practical and everything washes very well. I recommend it without any problem. The price is not affordable for everyone but if you use a lot of whole spices it is worth the investment.

Gets the job done quickly and efficiently!
This commercial grinder really gets the job done when it comes to grinding and/or chopping. It is efficient and it’s pretty quiet considering how powerful it is. I haven’t tried it with mixing liquid yet but as far as I can tell it should make quick work of that also. The only thing that I don’t like about this product (and the reason I gave it four stars instead of five) is because of the fact that; as a woman of average size (5’ 3”) I can barely get my (average sized) hands around the top bowl to lock it into place so that the grinder will turn on. It’s doable but I don’t think it would be possible for anyone smaller than me.

Works wonderfully
Works wonderfully so far. I use it to grind cardamoms and they do grind down pretty well seeds and all. The only problem is that it does get pretty HOT! So be careful. Easy to clean! I like that it comes with 3 cups and can be used for storage as they have tops to cover. The noise level is bearable.

Commercial quality!
I am really happy with this chopper? blender? food processor? or whatever they call it. I looked in all the box stores for a small food processor but it was almost impossible to get at them because they were boxed or in plastic. The few that were out as demos just looked junkie to me. The price for this Waring Chopper was much higher than the off-the-shelf stuff, but after a lifetime of buying tools I have learned that it doesn't pay to go cheap. This was well worth it. As soon as you pick it up you can tell it's going to be a keeper. It's HEAVY. And unbelievably quiet. And it doesn't dance around on the counter when it's working. I like the small size because it doesn't take up a whole lot of room on my limited size countertop, plus it sits UNDER the wall cabinets. If you are OK with a smaller type of food processor (or whatever it is) I can recommend this one highly. Absolutely no regrets.

NOT EVEN A YEAR OLD - WON'T POWER ON -
UPDATE: Used it again and it shut off and won't power back on. I put in a contact email on the Waring website and they haven't communicated back. $300+ down the drain My mother grinds herbs into a paste that we use of several Cambodian dishes. Traditionally this is done with a mortar and pestle but she's approaching 80 and her hands cramp up. She still loves being in the kitchen so I thought a commercial grade wet/dry grinder would come in handy. We were using a small coffee grinder for some of the dry ingredients but needed something for large batches. We put sliced lemongrass, small chunks of galangal, ginger and garlic in the Waring ended up with a lumpy batch vs the paste we normally get. I ended up having to scoop everything out and finishing it a personal blender that cost 4x less than the 3cup waring. The only good thing about it is that the cup is removable and easy to clean. Now it's packing dust in a kitchen cabinet because I'm past the return window. This was the one thing I purchased this product for and it fails.

Unit is well made. I have had many choppers. The lid will not lock. Am I missing some safety feature? No instructions. Scanned QR code. Just says ‘lock the lid’. Frustrating. Sent back

After years of using pre-ground spices, I tried grinding some whole spices in a pestle and morter. There were noticable improvements in flavour and aroma so I began looking for an electric spice grinder (I had some time to kill). Most of the range developed for home use seemed a little feeble, with plastic bodies and small motors, and their reviews echoed that; many complained of these machines breaking down after a few months or frequently jamming etc. So, in a fit of enthusiasm, I bought this one. It's simple to use and does exactly what it should - grinds. So far, I've used it to make garam masala (with whole spices: cinnamon, cloves, cardamons, bay leaves, coriander, cumin, black pepper, and allspice) a few times and it's munched those into a fine powder. I have also used it for coffee beans with perfect results. The grinder is a rotary blade type (similar to a coffee grinder) but its powerful motor enables it to cope with everything I've used it for. There are three identical grinding cups (each with its own blade) provided and these are easy to clean. The photo here is misleading in one way; the safety lid (the upper half of the machine as pictured)is clear perspex rather than the metalic version show. Although pricy for the domestic buyer, this seems well built and sturdy and it does the job it should so I would recommend it. UPDATE: Almost two years of daily use and the grinder is still working perfectly.

The biggest problem with this unit is trying to put in place the plastic cover. It is so difficult to do that. You have to use so much pressure to push and then twist the cover. It feels like the plastic cover will crack. This is needed to be in place or else it wont start since it is the locking mechanism. I kept wondering why they made this simple process so difficult. Wrote to Waring about this but go no reply. I am not the only one that had this problem. Just read the other reviews.
