Arrived crushed
I would give the product a 5 star rating for quality if it wasn't crushed during shipping, I would give the packing job a negative 5 star rating, Who ever packed it put it in a 40" by 60" "box" That was only 1/2" thick like a record sleeve so it was probably starting to get crushed before it even left the warehouse. The proper way to pack it would have been to put it in 32" by 32" box that is 3" thick and pack some styrofoam blocks or air pacs into the pan area to prevent crushing. It would have also been easier for UPS to handle in the smaller but thicker package.I managed to do some body work on the pan so it will function and it is getting installed under a water heater in the corner of a garage so the appearance isn't a big issue, But if it was for a water heater in a basement or area where it is seen, I would be tempted to return it for a new one and call the warehouse to tell them how to pack it.

Could prevent an expensive catastrophe!
We just got rid of an old hot water tank that secretly (in the back, way underneath) leaked on the floor and ruined the wood floor and the subfloor. Many dollars later, we have a new subfloor, new tile and a new hot water tank. Our handyman told us to buy one of these pans to protect against future drips or leaks. He hooked the drain fitting up with the rest of the plumbing so that any leakage will be drained safely away.I was worried about ordering it from Amazon because a couple of the other reviews said it arrived all bent up. Special ordering it from our Lowe's would have taken two weeks, and Amazon offered Prime 2-day delivery, so I went with Amazon. I'm happy to report that it arrived in a protective cardboard box, and it didn't have any damage. It's also a lot thicker than several of the reviews claimed. It's not so thin that you can easily dent or bend it, although of course dropping the hot water tank on the edge of it will bend it.This is one of those items you don't think about until you find the expensive damage that NOT having one can cause. An excellent and inexpensive investment!

Biggest drip pan ever...
This pan is one of the biggest I've seen to catch over-flow moisture--this one is 24". Since my intention was to use this under a really enormous & heavy indoor plant (not a water heater, for instance) I'm putting this to an off-label use. It works well in the end, even if it's a bit less rigid & more flexible than I'd hoped. Seems well made & will endure.

Too Fragile
The metal is too thin. The water heater tore holes in the pan during placement.

Sturdy and thick, arrived in good condition
This is a sturdy thick pan and it arrived in good condition. Note that the diameter (28") refers to the bottom; the pan is slightly tapered - therefore the diameter at the top is approx 30".

Junk!
Piece of junk. Paper thin, came all bent up in a box big enough to fit 6 in!

Well made and connects up perfectly.
Seems to be well made and it fit perfectly under my hot water heater.

Great drip pan
Great size, sturdy, and works well. The pan really is 26 inches in diameter. I actually use it as a drip pan for a very large planter, so I needed something that would not only have the correct diameter, but would not rust. This pan is sturdy enough to hold the planter without bending or leaking.
