I never had a chance to watch this series during the 90s or 2000s because it was never repeated on TV. Some people say it was probably because it was stereotypical about foreign people and their sense of humour was 'out of date'. Maybe it wasn't 'politically correct' when this expression became so popular during the early 90s, and after that, we could not say many things that might offend somebody else, and that had become a new culture in our society.I learned English as a foreign student in the early 1990s. I would go to a language school in London and get mixed with people from all over the world, and it was one of the best memories I have of the UK. So I can relate to many things in this series, and I don't find it offensive at all; rather, I find it very funny. In the real language schools during the early 1990s, yes, there were a certain number of 'not-so-nice' comments out of stereotypical views, and nowadays it'll probably be viewed as racism, but that was part of learning the British culture in those days, so I don't mind.I'm glad they've decided to release it over 40 years after it was first shown on TV. Maybe we're in the post-political-incorrectness period now so its sense of humour is funny again.

Mind your language complete collection Dvd had 4 seasons but unfortunately the 4th season was destroyed in a studio fire, the 4th season does not longer exists at all, hence this complete collection only contained 3 seasons. This is why the 4th season is not in the complete collection. although DVD claims this is entire series it is not. the show ran for 4 seasons yet this only contains 1st three seasons shown before the break it had for few years before final season was made. to date season 4 is not available anywhere

Really enjoyed watching this classic retro 1970's sitcom! Barry Evans stars as a newly employed english language teacher who trys his very best to teach a diverse group of adult learners at an inner city adult education centre! As you can imagine the set-up is ripe for comical situations and interactions to abound throughout the series and indeed they do! As can be said of many sitcoms of the time, some of the dialogue & stereotypes on display here are 'of there time', and may not understandibly be to everyones taste. This complete series 4 DVD set is neatly packaged, and well presented with the added bonus of all episodes being complete and unedited! I would recommend this series as a worthy purchase to any fan of classic british sitcom!
