Frommer's Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks (Complete Guide)

This book was just perfect! Small enough to fit in the small backpack I carried, but so up to date and filled with good information. I thought the reviews for the different restaurants and lodgings were spot on, and I really appreciated the honesty about the difficulty levels and plusses or minuses of the top hikes. The drawings of the different flora and fauna, along with their description were a really nice touch---they gave just enough info so I could identify what I was seeing and understand a bit more about it, but not so much that I had to walk with my head buried in the book.

This book was essential to making our short stay in Yellowstone a success, we were able to pick out the highlights we wanted to see and decide on the fly if we wanted to stop along the way to see lesser known features, the great descriptions really helped.

I am so glad I ordered this wonderful book before my recent trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. It is packed full of helpful information and was the perfect size to carry in my backpack. In addition to all the popular sights, this book also describes many other interesting things to stop and see along the way. As we drove through and spent time in both parks we probably would have missed some of those lesser-known places if I hadn't read about them in this book.

Good guide but the Look Inside preview leads you to believe the book is full of color photos. Only the first few pages have color photos and there are no photos in the rest of the book. Also this book is small - about the size of a standard paperback which makes it good for throwing in a backpack, but not so good if you have any eyesight issues.

Great book for taking a trip! Had EVERYTHING we needed for our yellowstone and grand tetons trip. Great places to stay and eat along with helpful maps and prices!!! I wouldnt go on a trip again with out seeing if there was one of these books on it!!

The content leaves much to be desired. The kindle edition is terrible: maps cannot be zoomed in and are therefore unreadable. Very disappointed.

I didn't pay attention to the size of the book and found it to be like a paperback and too small to read. The contents were fine, but I would rather have a larger size.

Any travel book by Frommer will make your trip much more interesting. Their material is well organized with plenty of maps and helpful tips.
