This was purchased for a Father's day gift. I was originally disappointed because it came in with the wrong type of camera mount. I had emailed the seller and had not received a response. I was ready to return it and got a response that was very apologetic and helpful. She sent me a replacement camera and was very helpful with making sure I had what I needed for installation and was happy. We just put the camera on my dad's truck for help with backing up to trailers. He was able to get dead on to the hitch. It is hard to tell exact depth, so I recommend still having someone let you know u are close if possible but it could certainly be done without a spotter if needed. Installation was easy. We did decide to hard wire it simply due to using 2 cameras on one monitor for use with his camera. The hard wire made the picture much clearer and was worth the extra effort. It turned out to be a great Father's Day gift. Thanks for all of your help Luna!

I give five stars for price and ease of installation. I have installed cameras on several vehicles and normally, the hardest part is running the wires under the vehicle from the rear bumper to the driver's area. I don't like getting under the vehicle and looking for places to run the wires. This wireless system minimizes the installation by eliminating the need to run the wires under the vehicle. Just connect the camera to the tail light wire and the monitor and receiver to a 12V wire under the dash. I could have used the cigarette lighter connection that came with the camera for installing the monitor, but I wanted to hide all the wires, so I connected the front wireless receiver and the monitor to one wire under the dash and ran my wires behind the trim. This made a very neat and clean installation. The picture is clear and has good color for the price.Most all camera wires are very small wires, so it is better to make the connections with small wire nuts or solder than to use the Solderless Quick Splice Snap Wire Connectors. There will usually be too much difference in the size of the camera wires and the vehicle wires to get a good connection with the solderless connectors.The monitor is unique because it can be placed on the dash in a closed position until you want to view it. When you need it, just punch the button release and the monitor pops up. The wireless transmitter/receivers can be used on many other style cameras and for other applications (such as front cameras) as long as the connections are the same. I had a couple questions before I started the install, and the seller was very polite and responsive.

Update: terrible static in late model car even using soldered connections. I suspect there are too many signals around it.Worse, there's no way to adjust, flip, or rotate the image, and the image if you use the camera in the pictured orientation.Can't recommend, and will be returning mine.--Will update after installation, but wanted to give a heads up to anyone considering the 4.3" foldable that the camera is not as pictured in the description. It's not the type that faces out and can be mounted on a tag. See photos to see the angle and mounting points.
