Open Very Carefully

I love this book! It’s very clever, engaging and fun to read. When I’ve read it, the children have loved it too.

This books plays with the conventions of how stories work. It's vivid, funny and the children i have read it to just loved it and wanted it again and again. We had long involved discussions about the way the story worked and how funny it was. My Grandson made all the family look everywhere for the crocodile in the story - the book inspired us all to play along with his creative ideas. The different levels of understanding within the story are very stimulating and inspired the children to discuss how this book worked over a period of time - coming back to it and seeing something new each time. It's a lovely book to share and children will learn so much from the discussions it generates.

I bought this book because my son had taken a shining to it at school. When it came, there were some duplicate pages as a printing error. Within hours of dropping the book off at a returns drop off point, a replacement arrived in the post. Beyond expectations. Packaged well, pristine condition - very happy.

Fun book! Perfect for my book loving son who has just turned 5. It has a really good ending and provides lots of stimulation for further discussion once the book is finished. Illustrations are colourful and the extra effects make this book an awesome read. Definitely recommend for readers 5+

My little ones find this book hilarious and want to read it over & over again. It has the added bonus of being very interactive so they feel involved in the story. A great purchase!

So much fun to read with my daughter, who has loved this since she was about 2 and has continued to ask for it regularly. Very original and interactive. She likes the sequel "What's Next Door?" too.

I purchased the book because we like Nicola O’Byrne’s books. The idea of the book is definitely something new and the illustrations are very pretty, too. Still, it’s not our favorite! My daughter rarely wants me to read it to her…As I’ve purchased the book for only 3€, I don’t mind that much but I’d be unhappy if I had payed more than that!

My kid asks me to read this for him every day. He knows the whole story now, so he's starting to just grab the book and "read" it loud on his own.
