Exactly what I needed running my first half marathon this year. I spent some time researching not only effectiveness but products that are more natural and healthy. These packs seem to check all my boxes. Little gel packs are very easy to open, do not make any mess and are delicious. However keep in mind that they will make you thirsty, the gel is very thick and a bit sticky in the mouth. So be ready to drink water after consuming a pack. They were quite effective and gave me the energy I needed. They were on the privy side but definitely worth it.

If you’re looking for a quick energy fix that’s as delicious as it is effective, the Honey Stinger Energy Gel Variety Pack is a fantastic choice—especially if you’re a fan of honey. The flavors are great, with “Gold” being pure honey goodness, and the “Fruit Smoothie” flavor (which includes strawberry kiwi) being pretty darn tasty. There’s another flavor in the pack, but I can’t quite remember which it was—either way, they’ve all been solid! I’ve tried several different energy gels, but I keep coming back to Honey Stinger because they’re just that good. They go down smooth, provide a reliable energy boost, and, most importantly, they’ve never upset my stomach—even after long rides of five or six hours or more. The only minor downside is that they can be a bit sticky if you get them on your hands (oops, lol), but that’s a small price to pay for how well they work. If you’re in need of a tasty, stomach-friendly energy gel, Honey Stinger is hard to beat. Highly recommend!

I’ve been using the Honey Stinger Energy Gel for my long runs and it’s been a fantastic addition to my running routine. This energy gel is not just a fuel source, it’s a tasty treat that I look forward to on my runs. The flavor is delightful, it’s not overly sweet and has a natural honey taste that is refreshing during a long run. It’s easy to consume on the go and doesn’t leave a sticky residue, making it a practical choice for runners. What I appreciate the most is its gentle effect on my stomach. Even during my longest runs, the Honey Stinger Energy Gel has never caused any stomach discomfort, which is a common issue with many other energy gels I’ve tried. In conclusion, the Honey Stinger Energy Gel is a reliable, tasty, and stomach-friendly energy source for long runs. I highly recommend it to all runners out there!

Was able to use these during a relay race over 20 miles total. This was able to get me thru the longer runs and the hold was my favorite of the 2. Would’ve rated this higher had the other flavor been better imo. The texture mad it easy to digest and the ease of opening the package was great in the middle of the run.

These type of products are very subjective, in my opinion. I won't go into super detail about how it made me feel or the taste because what's good for me, isn't good for someone else. What I really like about them are the ingredients. It's honey with some vitamins and electrolytes. I don't drink caffeine often so I'm also glad they don't have that in them. I like that it is a small quantity pack as well. I run 5k, 3 times a week and then run a 10k 1 time a week. So I don't really run far enough to need these that often. I am preparing for a half marathon and will need them for that. But other than when I do those long, long runs I won't need them. I don't want them to just sit and take up space or go bad, so it's nice that it's a small pack. I also liked that they send 2 flavors in the variety pack so it's not always the same flavor when you have them. The consistency is the same as honey, perhaps a slight bit more runny. I used to love those honey sticks as a kid so eating pure honey is nothing new to me and I don't mind the texture. The packets are easy to open when you're running as well which is a big plus. What I didn't like about them is that it appears there are different levels of sugar in the flavors. The Fruit Punch has 11g of total sugars while the Gold has 24g of total sugars. I don't know the reason for that but it would seem to me that the Fruit Punch would be less effective than the Gold for providing an energy boost based on those numbers. But, this could also be a selling point for others. Some people don't need as much sugar to get a boost and might prefer less sugar. Overall, I am very satisfied with these and will be ordering more when I have a longer race in the future.
