Keeps Food Hot For Lunch At School
Durable construction. Keeps things hot for hours. Perfect for my child to take freshly made mac n cheese to preschool. Pasta and sauce is still nice and toasty by lunch. This keeps food hot way longer than the smaller 7 ounce Foodgo container I got when my child was a baby. That one cools down significantly warm after just 1- 2 hours which I found out after sending her to school with cold food and not knowing it. And my child is only 3 and never communicated it to me. But one day, after getting my child ready for school, I get a call that school was closed due to fire in the neighborhood. At noon, I opened the mac n cheese I made at 7 :30 that morning and it was completely cold. So I did some research online and based on reviews, the larger 10 ounce Thermos Foodgo does a better job insulating than the 7 ounce one. So I got one and was happy with it. So much so, that I got another yesterday.I should have known the 7 ounce thermos wasn't doing a good job keeping things hot. While making lunch I would fill it with boiling hot water. When lunch is ready, I poured the water into a mug to make a cup of tea for myself. And I put the lunch in to the pre-heated container. When I sip on my tea, it is comfortably warm. Cool enough for me to take large sips. When I received the 10 ounce thermos. I did the same thing. Pour in boiling water. Make lunch. Then empty the water to make my tea and fill the Thermos with hot mac n cheese. But I didn't think about how hot the water would be and took a big gulp. Yikes! It was still boiling hot and I burned my tongue!!!So yes, this works. Really well, actually.

Hot things hot, cold things cold- just like it should be.
I was so excited when my fourth (out of five) child started kindergarten this year. I could not wait for her to experience lunch time, and the opportunity to eat in a cafeteria with her friends. She has always been such a good eater, that I thought she would happily buy lunch every day. I. was. Wrong. After her first day of school she declared that she would no longer be purchasing lunch, and she was going to be packing from here on out.And just as suddenly- my easy going, never picky, eater, became my biggest challenge. For the first 3 months, she would only eat pb&j or ham and bread. And I was really starting to worry about her diet. Finally, over winter break, she began showing interest in hot lunches once again. So we took advantage of this and purchased an insulated container to pack lunches in.Our first purchase was not a thermos brand product, and we quickly discovered that you get what you pay for- and it wasn’t good. This is why we love Thermos:- It stays hot. We warm it up by pouring hot water in it, while we heat her soup or something from that famous happy kids “chef”.- It doesn’t leak. There is nothing worse than your 6 year old telling you that you ruined her day with dry soup and wet backpack.- Dishwasher safe! This is such a big deal, you just don’t know it yet. Other brands do NOT hold up to the dishwasher, and the result is ^^ wet backpack.- Hot inside does not mean hot outside. I can pack hot and cold items in her lunch bag and hot stays hot, cool stays cool.- Clean designs are gender neutral- hopefully this means no more fighting ( but not likely).I purchased this item outright. Like you, I rely on reviews to guide me when shopping online, so I hope that I have helped you make an educated decision.

Worth ever penny
I've had this thermos for 5 years now. Could not be happier with it or more impressed. This morning around 8am, I made some tea in this thermos and then went hiking with a group of friends for the day. It was rainy and cold in the afternoon- probably around 2pm. I got my thermos out and as soon as I opened it, steam came rushing out. The tea was still nice and hot and comforting. And it's small (a great size for tea or soup) and lightweight, easy to bring along with me anywhere. It's kind of amazing.

Hot drink refreshes my mind and body
First of all, I like this hot pink color. Who said as you get older, people are more likely to prefer dark color. It is wrong, wrong, wrong. My daughter's favorite color is pink, so am I. I like bright and colorful things.I don't usually put food in this jar. Instead, I like to use it as a mug at work. I usually use travel mug for cool drink, but when I want to have a hot drink, I hate to use the travel mug. The food jar is the perfect alternation for me. It is not too tall; it mimic the traditional mug that I used at home, and it works better than the ceramic mug, because it will keep the drink hot for a while. I like to smell the mist and feel the warmness on my face. The travel mug cannot do this. I work 12 hours shift. Once it pass my 8 work hours, having a hot drink refreshes my mind and my whole body. It keeps my last 4 hours productive. It said that this food jar will keep warm for 5 hours. Actually I don't know whether it will last for 5 hours, because by the end of the first hour, my drink will be gone. I plan to put hot soup in it when I rush to work. At least I can have something hot while I am driving to work.Good product, highly suggested.
