I needed extra light for a writing project, and I researched the lumens and what would be ideal. I purchased these bulbs and they are just what I needed a bright light but not too much. It’s a pleasant light if that makes sense, I am very pleased. I was hesitant because it stated that it was good for a garage so I thought it might be too much, but it’s not. Quality is perfect, bulbs were well packed. I use that light every night no issues.

These bulbs are enormous. See photo of this bulb on the left and a regular Philips incandescent bulb on the right. I put a measuring tape between the 2 bulbs. Due to the perspective, it looks like the LED bulb is 7 inches, but it is actually 5-5/8" tall. These bulbs fit a standard light bulb socket, but the cover of my light fixture could not be closed with this giant bulb inside. I had to leave the cover off and just have the naked bulb. It's in my cold cellar, so decor is not of the utmost importance; brightness is the goal. The light temperature of these bulbs is cool. Their brightness is similar to a 100 watt bulb. Not the 200-250 W stated in the product description. I googled lumen equivalency, and according to the results, to be equivalent to a 200 watt incandescent bulb, an LED bulb needs to provide 3000 lumens. This bulb is only 2800 lumens. My perception is that it is not anywhere close to the brightness of even a 150 watt incandescent bulb, nevermind 200 W. It's maybe like a 125 W bulb if you're pushing it. Nevertheless, these bulbs do provide more light than the old bulbs I was using, which were only 60 W. I need brighter light so I can read the expiry dates on the food packaging in my cold cellar. These bulbs do the trick.
