Tenth studio album by the British rock band. Originally released in 1982, the album marked a notable shift in direction from their earlier work, as they employed many elements of disco, funk, rhythm and blues, dance and pop music. 'Under Pressure', Queen's collaboration with David Bowie, was released in 1981 and became the band's second number one hit in the UK.

Expensive 2ch Stereo SACD, 2016 pressings, VERY COLLECTABLE.
Expensive but very collectable limited edition 2ch stereo SACD from Japan.I purchased all 15 for a cost of around £507.00 (around £34 per disc including customs import and UK vat charge)Changing hands for around £50 to £70 at present so if you collect then grab these. If, like me, have the original vinyl pressings from the original date of release then you will prefer the sound quality from them rather than this collection.

best as far as I'm concerned
This is the only Queen album I own, although I have heard all of them in their entirety. This struck me as their most off the wall, experimental (in many ways) album and that appeals to me greatly.Being a huge fan of bands like PiL and New Order, any music that is out of the ordinary is bound to appeal to me in some way and this album delivers.Everyone knows Queen's big numbers, but it's a pity that fantastic albums such as this get largely overlooked.5 STARS!

Give it.....space
Yes, this really split audiences and the band (Mercury/Deacon and May/Taylor). There is some ill conceived dross (Body Language for example, but there was always at least one clanger on every Queen album). I think the album stands up if you can accept the different direction. After all, seven of the eleven songs could sit happily on most of the previous albums. Worth a try I'd say and particularly this vinyl pressing.

Classic Vinyl
Classic vinyl , brought to replace my original version lost somewhere along the line. Probably not the most famous of Queen albums, but great tracks with the No.1 hit Queen/ Bowie's Under Pressure. Quality of the vinyl is excellent.
