Fantastic retro handheld! This is the Anbernic RG40XXV and the reviews on YouTube kept pointing me back to it. I recommend everyone considering this handheld to watch Russ's video on Retro Game Corps as he spends a lot of time giving a detailed review on it. One thing I would also recommend is to replace the stock OS with Mustard OS. It's faster, more clean, and it fixes the cardinal snapping of the analog stick that Retro Game Corps doesn't like. Full recommend. Buy this.

This thing rocks! Doesn’t come with Nintendo games but the emulators will allow you to play them if you add your own copies.

Ok, I have tried a few retro consoles, I’ve even tried openemu on my Mac, I’ve done retro gaming on my kindle fire with an 8 bit do controller! But this handheld emulator is so much fun!!! Easy step by step on YouTube on how to add games! I’m Playing Zelda Ocarina of Time!!!! It works really well, battery lasts a long time and for the amount of games the price is not too bad. It’s sturdy and strong.

The media could not be loaded. The amount of preloaded 5 star games that are on here are worth it alone. I was playing gta on it, and it brought me back to simpler times.

This is built by Anbernic. They are known to make pretty good products for emulation.The screen is really nice. Very bring and modern. It can be seen from all angles and makes you games really pop. The first thing I noticed when turning it on was just how good it was.The controls feel great. D-Pad and Analog both are good. Buttons on the front are your typical membrane buttons. On the back there are 4 back buttons for L1/R1 and L2/R2.Ergonomics are quite nice. Feels comfortable in the hand and easy to press the front and back buttons. It does remind you are a gameboy and there is only one speaker on the front. No stereo sound. However, there is a headphone jack that does give stereo sound that way. Sound has dedicated up and down buttons to quickly change the volume.Storage is expandable with an SD Card. And you can select between the internal or external storage.Each emulator has different options. And there are tons of them. Arcade, and Retro etc. I did try a disc based emulator and it stuttered a tiny bit but the game play wasn’t affected. One thing I really like is the dedicated mode button. It takes you right into the emulator settings and you can adjust aspect ratio etc. A plus if you are playing a letterbox game or system like the PSP.You can put the game in standby quickly just pressing the power button once and come back when you want to play again. Something you couldn’t do back in the day.In the box you get the charging cable, device and manual. No charger. The charging cable is USBA to USBC. The Anbernic has a USBC port on it.I think this is a great option to play those older games all the way up to the Dreamcast (though with a few stutters as it got more modern, gameplay wasn’t affected again). I really like the feel and build quality. I hope they do a dual analog widescreen version. I’d love to try that.

The RG40XX V Handheld Game Console has a classic Game Boy aesthetic, but with better features. It was a big hit in my family (ages range from 9 to adult). I ordered this in the white color which gives it a nice clean look.It comes preloaded with over 5,000 classic games and supports more than 10 game simulators. The screen is bright and clear which is awesome, as is the high-precision joystick, and customizable RGB lighting, This device has Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity for online gaming and/or streaming and the battery lasts for about 6 hours. There is also a standby mode that can be activated by pressing the power button once, allowing users to resume the game at a later time. I like this because my kids can't complain that they are going to lose their game when I ask them to do things.Overall this is a great buy and would make an excellent gift for someone who likes gaming.

I am incredibly impressed with this hand held gaming device. It has so many preloaded games included with it and my husband was able to download and upload more games onto it. The screen quality is really well to. It reminds me of game boy when I was younger, except a much better picture. I can't get my husband and children off of it. Everyone wants a turn playing. We will be going to Florida soon and this will be essential for our 23 hour drive there. I am very pleased with it!
