ESAB Rebel EMP 215ic Multi-Voltage MIG/Stick/TIG Welder- 120/230V 5-240A Output

Others can complain but I just got the 215 and it is the easiest machine and the smartest machine an idiot can weld with this machine it makes it so easy to mig weld it figures out all your parameters for you you just have to weld and it welds beautifully I don't care much for the tig set up they have I would much rather have a auto start other than liftig but the mig machine makes up for it

its a top quality product. smaw arc is very smooth and steady. mig/mag comes right out of the box ready and with wire so get you gas cylinder and for aluminium i suggest you get the optional aluminium mig spool its your only good option without ac power for tig. like most out of the box tig torches it is a bit bulky but with their ball joint and handle design you can comfortably handle it but the lift arc is smooth as silk and very reliable also you need your gas cylinder and filler metal for tig. keep in mind its a dc welder it truely is the best 1 in all on the market i have found. you will not regret the purchase. with a 200amp output it will weld anything short of extreme industrial welding. 110/230v very compatible and at 40lbs i can take it anywhere with any outlet source. 11 weld hous in 2 weeks i trust this machine.

I use this machine primarily for MIG and stick, it migs better than some designated MIG machines in this power class, don't except to get spray transfer out of it, while it is possible, the included gun will met in 30 seconds, and can only feed wire up to 475 ipm, not enough to sustain spray. As far as stick, it burns 1/8" 6010 rods no problem, super easy arc starts, using 6013 rods you can lay and almost MIG smooth bead. I have not done much TIG with it, however the arc is smooth, and this price includes a TIG torch and regulator, saving alot If money over competing models, where he tig kit is an add on. The lift start works great when you get the hang of it. It does not come with a foot pedal, but that obstacle is easily overcome by learning how to properly set your machine. I have never overheated this unit including burning 5# of 1/8 electrode at 120 amps, with no down time other than switching the stick. I would buy again.

I bought this welder about 2 years ago for $1600 (sixteen hundred dollars). I see it now listed at $2400 (twenty four hundred dollars). What's that all about? It's still Swedish design, made in China, so why is American inflation taking effect here (unless Amazon is just being greedy)? Great welder though, absolutely fantastic. Even better if you can find it where you're not being gouged.

Been using a Ranger 8 linked to a LN 25 wire feeder with gas for 17 years , great rig but too heavy for sheet metal work , The Rebel can certainly handle that and more . I built a cart for it and it's cousin the first day .

Wow, absolutely the best welder I've ever owned. Excellent quality and performance. Just can't say enough good things about it. If it comes down to a Miller, Lincoln or ESAB.. buy the ESAB. You won't be sorry. Edit to this 02/13/2018 It's in the repair facility getting it repaired already. Had trouble finding a repair place since I bought online. ESAB Customer Support sent me an outdated repair location sheet. Had to send wife 41 miles one way to repair shop. Won't buy another one.

This little welder makes even amateurs look like they know what they are doing! It is super easy to use, and does a great job.

Updated!!Extremely pleased with it at first Quite a nice machine. A tad larger than I was expecting but will work great. Made it about 20 hours of use id say and started having issues. Currently getting the run around about warranty.
