This feels great on the scalp
I've only used this once so far. I love it. It smells good, and feels good on the scalp. My hair feels soft.

Invigorating scalp treatment, with an awkward applicator.
This is a wonderful smelling and incredibly refreshing scalp treatment that’s loaded with tea tree and peppermint oils. The moment you dispense the product the scent of those oils immediately fills the shower, making for an invigorating aromatherapy experience. After massaging the scrub onto your scalp you’ll begin to feel the cooling sensation of the oils as they stimulate circulation. There is a small amount of clay that is supposed to help detoxify your scalp, but I think it’s probably too little to make a difference. I have a tub of European green clay (powdered) that I can pack on my scalp if detox is what I’m going for. Similarly, the exfoliating granules seem too few to make a tremendous difference compared to good hair and scalp brushing prior to showering. My one major complaint is the applicator that is attached to the tube. It’s rather awkward to use and I quickly became tired trying to move the tube over around my scalp. The product is also thick and has a tendency to become stuck between the teeth of the dispenser. Also, while dispensing I couldn’t tell if I was using too much or not enough of the scrub. In the end I gave up and just used my fingers to work the scrub into my scalp. They really should make this applicator/massager detachable, where you dispense the product into your hand, apply it to your scalp with your fingers, and then use the detachable massager to work the product around your scalp.Lastly, the instructions on the tube seem really designed for you to use and waste a lot of products. You are supposed to shampoo (with their shampoo) and rinse, then use this scrub, then shampoo with their product and rinse (again), and then apply their conditioner. Honestly, I just shampooed with my regular shampoo and rinsed, then used this scrub and then rinsed. It rinses out of your hair just fine. As a matter of fact, this product if very similar to a well-known tea tree hair and scalp treatment smells and feels exactly the same---and that particular product is used exactly the way I used this one, as a conditioner.Overall, I love this scalp scrub, but not the applicator/massager. I also think this product can be used as a conditioner.

Great for seb derm, oily roots
Great for persistent sebhoric dermatitis and oily roots. Scalp feels super clean and refreshed after just one use. I was able to go a couple days longer in between washes as well because it cleaned my scalp so well. Be sure to leave it on for several minutes so it can do its thing. The exfoliation grit does take some effort to wash/rinse out, but the result is worth it. Will purchase again.

Just a lot of effort
Just doesn’t seem worth the scrubber, effort to feel like you shampooed “right” is too much drama

It gets in there
Leaves my scalp feeling clean without being too harsh. The charcoal really helps with buildup, and my hair feels better after using it. Noticeable improvement after repeated uses. I was a little overly aggressive at first with the tips but noticed a lighter touch went a long way. Ingredients are solid and make the price a bit more justifiable. I'll continue to use and may even reorder another bottle after this one starts running low.

Refreshing scalp exfoliator; poor brush design
This Malibu C scalp exfoliator has a mildly gritty texture that smells minty and feels very refreshing. I like the twist cap for dispensing, but the tube isn't very sturdy to use as a handle for massage. I can see it only getting worse as the tube empties out. I ended up applying the exfoliator to my scalp with my fingers and using my own long-bristled scalp massager brush to work it in. Directions also say to shampoo both before and after the scalp exfoliator, so this adds extra steps to the shower routine. I actually only shampooed once before exfoliating, and it rinsed out just fine. Then I finished off with conditioner. Overall, this was nice to try, but given the inconveniences listed, I'm not sure I would reorder.

Great shampoo for my hair
Great for my hair, good at cleaning. This was nice on my scalp and did not dry out my hair like other shampoo does sometimes. Scalp feels less itchy and better, good scent.

Malibu C Head Lab Scalp Scrub
I really like Malibu C Head Lab Scalp Scrub. It has a twisty top with soft bristles. The product comes out of the middle of the bristles. I worked the exfoliator into my hair and scalp. I then used the soft bristles to work it into my scalp. It has a wonderful pepperminty scent. It rinsed easily from my hair. I then went ahead and shampooed and conditioned my hair.My hair and scalp feel really good. It is like a little boost for your hair that you didn't know you needed. I recommend this product. This product would make a nice stocking stuffer or present for someone who likes beauty products.
