Great family movie.
This has been a favorite of mine as well as my children and now my grandchildren. It has some historical significance in examples of farming in the west in 1910 and mail order brides. A young Glenn Close and Christopher Walken is a treat and the children are a treat as well.

Brings back memories
I love these movies. They are sweet, innocent and poetic. A great movie to watch with family with no worry of content. They kept my girls attention and even inspired them to read the books. Now that's a win!

A Beautiful Story, Well Told
This movie is one of my favorites. I can sit down and relax and enjoy watching a great family movie that makes me feel good! This movie has real life problems and the families involved respond in different ways. With all the blended families in our culture today I believe this film is very relevant. We all have "baggage" we bring into relationships, whether it's marrage, parenting, or friendship. I like it that there are no religious overtones here, it's simply a picture of life, and life well lived!
