This is an excellent case for the remote and adds a good amount of weight that feels more solid in the hands. I have a shelf next to the couch, I throw the metal plate on so I can put the remote there if it doesn't get lost in the sofa, but that's what the "find me" button is on the back of the streamer

GREAT Case

This is my third Spigen Google Chromecast / TV Streamer case in use in my home, and I've spent a crazy amount of money putting the factory slippery remotes in these cases. Yes, it's magnetic and none of the other cheap silicone cases are. It has a better quality, satin finish silicone compared to the others as well, but at the end of the day, it's a nice fitting, less material than the $2 bumper cases for phones! Why is it so expensive??? I'm glad they had a color matching version this time to the Hazel color, but to buy a Google product and then have to throw them in one of these around the house for ease of use, magnetic storage, and a wrist strap the kids won't lose easily.... This is at least twice the price it should be for such a product. Still, it's the best there is, so buy once, cry once!

Nice thick cover. Fits perfectly and gives me a lanyard to hold that slippery remote.

Spigen makes high quality items and this is built to last. It will certainly protect the remote from drops. But the primary need for a cover is bc these google remotes are so slippery. This cover is almost as slippery as the remote! Will keep bc at least now there is protecting but will replace when a grippy option is available.

It is good. Nice weight and shape, but a little less grippy rubber than the smaller Google TV control we also have.
