Never used. Long story. But no someone who has tbem
I bought these for someone elderly and not in great shape. I never got to put them on his boat. But a friend bought the exact same ones. They work awesome on his 14 foot aluminum Jon boat. Way stronger than I thought it would be. Built out of good stuff. Very nice. I sent the two I bought back. But only because I had no use for tbem. The elderly person got worse. But they are high quality, good stuff!! And easy to use.

Beats hand cranking
I added this to my 13-foot fishing boat and use a 15-pound river anchor. And I installed a second up-down switch at the helm. Nice to have an electric in place of the hand crank I had before. Works well overall, but would have liked it better if the anchor did a free fall on the way down. It winds down at the same speed that it winds up, so it is taking longer to set the anchor now. But glad to have it and I am using the anchor a lot more now when I fish.

Best money ever spent!
Man I don't even k ow where to start with this little slice of Heaven!! I'm a disabled vet with 4 slipped discs. I get back injections every three no the from the VA and pain pills when needed. This accessory has saved me sooooo much discomfort and pain is unbelievable! I took my new job boat to a machine shop and had them weld in an aluminum platform. It cist all of $80 with labor. You'd better do the same cause when you winch the anchor back up, there is a lot of stress on the unit and by stress, I mean a downward pull and the anchor is pulled up thru the water. It is meeting a lot of resistance doing that. So don't fabricate some BS platform or you may watch this thing go over the edge of your boat.A must buy is the accessory switch that runs all the way to the back of your boat so you can run the winch without having to climb to the front of the boat each time you want to runnit up and down.

Recommend
Great product thus far. I had to be creative with mounting on my Jon boat for where I wanted it. I added a safety chain so it doesn't auto deploy on its own. I doesn't deploy a 10 lb anchor very good so I upgraded to a 15 lb mushroom anchor and deployment is not a problem. Up, down, auto deploy works great. I'm happy with it.
