Evan is truly innovative and forward thinking with his work ...
Evan is truly innovative and forward thinking with his work. He has a clear focus on biomechanical dysfunctions and makes sense of complicated muscle imbalances around the hip and shoulder and goes into depth on how to correct these with straightforward exercises. A must for any budding hip or shoulder guru from any medical field. PS I am a physiotherapist and I use a lot of these concepts in my practice with promising results.

This book is greatly aiding my chronic muscle problems
This book is suitable for the patient as well as therapists. Evan's basic principles have started my recovery from chronic hip muscle problems. He doesn't just look at the source of the pain like most UK therapists but applies a global review. The main thing I have learnt for my condition is to improve the breathing, normalise the posture following a postural assessment and relax tight muscles rather than stretch them, as when they are chronically tight, trying to stretch and strengthen them just compounds the condition and pain. Also try and find an Osar trained therapist to assist you. Many thanks Evan also for all your U tube videos.

Too messy
No doubt Evan Osar is an excellent therapist, but I feel he needed more time to write such a comprehensive book. Although the material is informative, it is not interesting due to the clutter. If it was better organised and contained photos of individuals before and after therapy together with the protocol, then I would have given it 5 stars.

This has been an amazing resource for when my clients or myself are working through an injury. It's an even better resource to prevent the injuries in the first place. I purchased this book when it was initially released, and do not have a Kindle version for reference on the go (Kindle version is sitting in my wishlist for future purchase). The ideas and photos in this book make it really easy to implement in practice.I highly recommend this book!

Top - Dr. Evan Osar from Fitness Education Seminars....

Very informative corrective exercise book. If your working with injured clients or general population, and special population clients this should be the place to start. Field evaluations, and immediate corrective approaches that integrate and progress the client to a functional state. Well done!!!!!!

Incredible resource
A good friend of mine is a therapist and trainer on the PGA Tour and Evan Osar is a major influence on his programs and methods. If you're a trainer or therapist of any kind, this book is your holy grail when it comes to correctives.

A leading edge awesome book - no standard parroting book - it actually works!
Every person in the body movement/injury health field should read this (having read many books on this subject trying to get answers) - would save patients alot of suffering. So glad he wrote it, thank you - so new out the box for most habitual body workers - it is time to wake up to better idea's that actually work. A.W. Victoria, B.C.

Great Info - Makes it easy to understand and put to use
As a Pilates and DNS trainer I have found this book absolutely invaluable as to explaining how to optimally use our bodies in exercise and helping clients. All of Dr. Osar’s info (in this book and his blogs and videos) do the best job I’ve found of explaining concepts that I hope will soon be adopted by all branches of physical training education. I’ve used it to reference when working with challenging cases and have had incredible results and the clients wanting to know more about what I did that worked so well. I do workshops for public (ie. for low back pain, hip pain or neck and shoulder pain patterns) and referencing Dr. Osar’s visuals and descriptions always helps to make the information digestible and clients feel the difference more clearly in their bodies. Thus, I highly recommend this book for anyone teaching any kind of exercise (including Physical Therapists) or for manual therapists to understand more about how the body works and how we can more quickly and easily identify dysfunctions and how we can create lasting results for our clients to move better and get out of or prevent pain. I read that some of the reviewers were overwhelmed with the complexity of this book. While this book is a wealth of knowledge I really disagree that this cannot be digested - any trainer who wants to learn more would be easily motivated to get this stuff. He really breaks it down very clearly for anyone who has studied the body and is dedicated to helping their clients.I hope that this information reaches certifying branches of education (NASM, NESTA etc.) soon so we can teach all those going into this industry how the body really functions instead of just tightening what's weak and essentially slapping bandaids over a dysfunctional pattern rather than retraining and educating the body how to optimally function so we will have better mobility and strength for life.

Great book
A very logical approach to scapular and hip stabilization that is clearly described with useful photos. I found the focus on breathing very helpful.
