Nice illustrations, helped explain the story of Rapunzel to a class of 6 year olds. Boys thought the book was a bit girly (lots of pink), but once they got past the past the pink, all the children enjoyed the story and we were able to use it as a basis for our own Rapunzel inspired stories.

My 6 year old loves this story The pictures are beautiful, story is easy to understand and follow. We read it over two nights before bed and I think it will become a staple of our bed time repertoire very quickly.

Loved and absolutely beautiful!
My daughter and I originally spotted this in the library, and after a completely out-of character hissey fit when it was time to return it, it went on the Christmas list. The illustrations are stunning, the storyline is the original, blinded prince wandering in the wilderness et al and considering how popular the more sugar coated disney version is in my house I wouldn't have expected it to be as popular but it really is. 14 months and however many readings later i often find it under her pillow in the morning. My daughter is four loves all things pink, princessey and pretty and this fits the bill, I removed the slipcase to keep from being lost or torn as i hope this will be a much loved childhood keepsake.
