Best USB mic on the market!
If you’re specifically looking to use a mic with USB, this is the best you can find. Bought a few of the top products at the same time to test, and specifically for USB this blew them away.Looks great, excellent build quality, and works well right out of the box. Sounds significantly better with some light tuning in the Rode Central app.

best 200$ mic you can get
Coming from my previous mic, being the AT2020USB+, it sounds so much clearer, has its own app to make adjustments needed for your environment or preference, has both USB C and XLR connection making it functional for both on the go use and at home setup use. Looks professional as well

I Sound Like a Radio DJ in My Tiny Office!
I’ve always wanted to sound like I host a top morning show, but my recording space is basically a closet with a desk or cubicle with sound masking. Enter the PodMic USB—my new best friend in tiny office acoustics! This thing is so easy to set up, I felt like a pro broadcaster in about five minutes.XLR? USB? Sure, Why Not? I love that I can switch between my fancy audio interface when that is needed in more formal settings and a direct USB connection faster than I can pretend I’m talking to 10,000 fans when doing this sudden virtual web meetings. The internal DSP, plus the legendary APHEX Aural Exciter and Big Bottom? I’m not sure how they do it, but let’s just say my voice went from “bored cubicle dweller” to “smooth operator on the airwaves.” Right out of the box, might I add.The headphone port is perfect for hearing my voice in real-time—no more awkward echo when I’m trying to record that perfect intro. The dedicated volume control is a cherry on top!I tend to be…let’s just say energetic (bored) with my desk taps and hand gestures. The PodMic’s internal shock mount keeps my spirited performance from turning into an earthquake drill for those I'm on a call with.Overall, if you want top-notch RODE quality without needing a stadium-sized studio and budget, grab the PodMic USB. I have had other PodMics (XLR) and these live up to that same standard and quality. I feel like a legit voice actor every time I hit record.

Defective product coupled with lackluster customer service
Made this purchase to invest in upgrading my home office and virtual meeting setup. I was looking forward to this mic setup, especially with a number of important meetings in the following week.Unfortunately, the product I received was defective and would not work with the supplied cable. Upon following all of their tech support suggestions, I was unable to get the mic to work but was able to get the mic to work using a third-party USB-A to USB-C cable. Unfortunately, the microphone would only transmit output for 5 minutes before no longer transmitting output (despite the unit maintaining power and other functionality). This led to a number of awkward meetings where my mic would cut out mid-sentence and I was forced to use other mic options.Continuing to work with their tech support team, I was issued a RA but also needed to pay for my own shipping for the product. Overall the process has been cumbersome, drawn-out, and not only am I still out the amount I paid for the product + shipping, but I do not have a microphone solution. We are approaching 3 weeks of this issue and I couldn't be more disappointed with this purchase.Upon reviewing forums and others that have encountered this issue, this is apparently a known defect with this product. If at some point I am issued another mic that works, I hope to update this review with more experience about the product. But as it stands, I'm out almost $250 and still have no mic.

Nearly perfect, while slightly overpriced and a little fussy using the headphone port.
Price is a bit high, and the headphone port can be a bit finicky as far as gain levels go since the dial on the back doesn't have start and end stops. The software or onboard processor can decide to make it a different gain level than you set it to (exacerbated by Windows' poor management of what apps can control mic levels). Once you get it all dialed in, it works without surprises or issues, but I wish I could disable monitoring through the headphones and switch to hearing the mix from my computer only. The mic looks and feels nice and premium, if a little prone to handling noises due to good but not great isolation. I love that the onboard processing means that it doesn't need to be connected to the same computer or software to sound consistent. This mic can be tuned using the desktop RØDE Central app to sound excellent for most voices. Every aspect of the PodMic is quite simple to use with the exception of that gain dial on the back and trying to balance both direct monitoring and mix levels, those take some fussing. Overall great product, I just wish it were about $180 instead of $200 for this quality and feature set.

Didn’t expect to like it more than my Yeti X, but here we are.
I grabbed this after my Yeti X’s USB port gave out... was a little unsure at first cuz of the price, but wanted to try something different. Honestly... I like it way more than my Yeti X. The sound is just cleaner and it doesn’t pick up nearly as much background noise, which is a huge win.Only gripe? The gain control. On the Yeti X, you’ve got that super convenient front knob... here, it’s all software-based and the software isn’t great. Not a dealbreaker, just kinda annoying. That said, the mic itself? 10/10. If you don’t mind messing with software, this is a solid upgrade.
