I’ve never written a review here but I like this jacket so much I felt I had to. I almost wish I didn’t own it just so I could order it again. It’s warm - I’ve worn it in at least -20C with no problem. It’s big enough to wear multiple layers but not baggy with just a t-shirt. The jacket is extremely well-made and worth every penny. I’m 6’, 220 lbs and I ordered an XL.

Exactly the kind of jacket you'd want to wear in the winter time. Especially if you're wife is making you shovel the drive way. And of course while you're doing that it looks great on her because she's drinkin' hot cider and wearing it inside while she watches you work up a sweat in basketball shorts and a T-shirt shoveling 8 tons of snow into the neighbor's yard, all the while her 3 obnoxious cats are sittin' in the window sill watching you instead of helping. Like come on cats, you don't got jobs, you don't go to school, the least you can do is help me shovel some snow you got your own fur coats for crying out loud! 10/10 would order more to keep in the truck, the trailer, the closet, and on my wife.

I have had my jacket for over a week now. It is my first Carhatt produce and I am pleased. I would classify it as a mid-weight jacket. I got a chance to wear it in some cold weather in the Shenandoah mountains on a weekend camping trip. I can only compare to a couple of North Face jackets I purchased over the years. Not as warm, but not a $350 jacket either. As far as the size it is a little large but I prefer that over tight. I wear XL in about everything. 5’10 220 lbs. It fits comfortably over a thin polar fleece pull over which made it really toasty.

(Replaces muy original, not so complimentary review) Carhartt products are typically of excellent quality, especially in a world where few manufacturers care at all about the product they stick their logo on. I own Carhartt shirts, pants, sweatshirts and coats. Oh, yeah, a watch cap, too. I've only ever needed to return one for quality reasons. The rest are not just keepers, but purchases I'll be using years from now. This coat is a bit stiff, but will wear well. Heavy duty, quality zipper. Two nice inside pocket, one zipped, one velcroed. Big enough to fit my iPhone plus. This is my mid-weight coat, over a long sleeve shirt I'm pretty sure I can handle anything below the arctic circle. Probably. A word about the seller, Dungarees. They took my original coat back quick n easy and were very helpful during the process. Normally, I try to use only Prime, but these folks made the exception worth it.

The only reason this product is not getting 5 stars from me is because it is quite stiff, but that is really a product of the thickness of the material which makes it warm and sturdy as a work jacket. The zipper is sometimes a little tricky to work, but is not defective or broken, just needs a little finesse. I am hope that with wear and washing these issues will work themselves out. Regardless, I am pleased with the coat for the purpose I bought it, a work coat.
