A Deliciously Refreshing Non-Alcoholic Aperitivo That Actually Delivers
I've tried numerous non-alcoholic products, and Botivo genuinely stands out. The flavor profile is beautifully balanced - bittersweet with herbal depth that unfolds as you sip. You get gentian bitterness upfront, followed by citrus brightness and subtle honey sweetness. Yes, there's apple cider vinegar in the base, but it adds a pleasant tang rather than dominating the flavor. It gives the drink that sophisticated, grown-up quality that so many non-alc options lack. With ice and soda or tonic, it's incredibly refreshing and perfect for early evening. The 25ml serving feels just right - concentrated enough to seem special without being overwhelming and sometimes I increase it to 35ml. It works brilliantly in spritz-style drinks, and I've also used it in place of Campari in non-alcoholic Negronis where it brings genuine complexity rather than just sweetness. The bottle design is beautiful with its distinctive yellow cap and elegant illustrations. This is a genuine alternative to alcoholic aperitifs, not just a soft drink pretending to be something more. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates quality ingredients and complex flavors.

Superb grown-up A/F drink.
Firstly, I ADORE a drink. Beer, gin, negronis...love them all. However, neither my body nor my mind react well to alcohol anymore. There are some fantastic A/F beers now, but a replacement for a short drink was trickier to find. Until now. Be aware... it's bitter. But that's better than all the sickly sweet alternatives out there. It's cheek-sucking bitterness makes it a perfect addition to a Fevertree tonic, giving it that kind of flavouful bite that gin usually adds. It also has bags of well-balanced, grown-up flavour. Don't be put off by the price, as a little goes a very long way. Also (and this might just be a me thing) the gorgeous bottle and pourer makes it feel luxurious. I haven't tried yet, but I have no doubt that this would make a superb addition to a Negroni, in place of the usual campari. I will definitely be buying more. Definitely.

Absolutely delicious
I bought Botivo as a birthday gift for my sister last year and she raved about it so much that I bought myself a bottle. Love the design, looks great in my new kitchen! The taste is delicious - refreshing and complex, perfect with soda and a slice of orange.

100% Vinegar in a cool bottle
Lovely branding, but unfortunately I didn’t like the strong vinegar taste. Of course the non alcoholic beverage is based on apple cider vinegar, shame to buy the whole bottle but it won’t go to waste. Makes a lovely vinaigrette to go on salads! Unfortunately this was not drinkable for me. I imagine if you like a dirty martini (which includes olive brine) you would like this beverage. Do not drink neat, it’s basically like drinking vinegar. You really need to mix it, instructions say 1 part spirit to 7 parts water. Which really shows how bad the taste is!

Delicious, grown-up taste. Better than sticking to fizzy drinks when avoiding the booze.
Finally, a non-alcoholic spirit replacement with lots of grown-up flavour! I drank this with just soda water and a slice of lemon and it was truly delicious to my palate. I love the bitterness of a good negroni, and this delivers on the bitterness front with the rosemary and thyme herb flavours dominant. OK, it’s never going to compete with an alcoholic drink in terms of mouthfeel but that doesn’t matter. A lot of reviewers were complaining that it tastes of pure vinegar, it absolutely doesn’t. The base is apple cider vinegar but it’s a very complex blend of many other things including herbs, honey and citrus which together give a very interesting and unique taste. You don’t need a lot, I went with the suggested 25ml of notion to 175ml of soda water for a long drink and the taste was perfect. It is a shame it’s so expensive as someone wanting to try it out might be put off by the price but I have no regrets buying it. It takes a year to make, after all. Shame it’s not more widely available in pubs as I’d definitely buy it.

Buy now - you won't be disappointed
This is one of the most delicious non-alcoholic drinks I’ve tried and the perfect aperitif to kick-start your evening. I mixed it with fizzy water and a slice of orange, and it felt vibrant, refreshing, and genuinely uplifting. It is like having a grown up drink but without alcohol - absolutely perfect for my dry January! If you’re looking for a sophisticated alcohol-free drink that doesn’t compromise on flavour, you absolutely have to try this.

Lovely bitter non-alcoholic alternative
Lovely non-alcoholic alternative. Bitter taste similar to Campari full of botanicals. Feels like a special drink to enjoy.

Wonderful cocktail replacement
Bought this as trying to reduce my alcohol in January. I can't believe I've just found it! It's incredibly complex and tasty, very bitter but if you follow the clear instructions on the bottle and mix it with soda water and a big wedge of fresh orange it's delicious. Must have drank 6 glasses over the weekend - reminds me of a white negroni, it's a very grown up drink and I don't miss the alcohol at all.
