Worked better than I had hoped!
I made this barbell storage mount almost a year ago, right before switching from a Rogue Monster Lite to a Monster rack. The ⅝" hardware was too small foe the new rack and this sat on my shelf for about 6 months until I recwntly decided to do something about it.I first tried a stepping bit but it couldn't get through the depth with a clean cut.Another month went buy and I ordered this, 3D printed a ⅝" alignment insert and I was done in minutes. Very clean cuts.

Did the job I got them for
I bought these to drill a hole in a steel cabinet to pass a printer power cord through it. This bit made easy work of the job.I could not find a grommet to put in the hole so That was a bit of a downside because the edges of the hole were not exactly sharp but enough that they may wear out the cable over time. I used duct tape to cover up the edges and it worked for me.The hole was not perfectly round, but this could have been because of the way I drilled it. Also one tip is to make sure the guiding drill bit is tightened properly, otherwise during drilling it comes loose and stops spinning. The kit comes with a small Allen key to tighten it up.

cool hole saw, it works, but it is not that sharpe
I recently gave these Hole Saws for Hard Metal a try, and overall, they get the job done, but with some room for improvement. I’ll start with the positives: they cut through metal like a champ. I used them on a few tough projects, and they performed surprisingly well, especially for the price. The cuts were clean, and they didn’t wear down quickly, which was a huge plus. I didn’t feel like I was burning through bits after just a few uses. The range of sizes in the set is also pretty handy. Whether you’re working on a small or larger project, there’s a size for just about every need, which makes it versatile. Plus, the design itself is solid—nothing overly fancy, just practical and straightforward. Now for the reason I knocked off a star: the material. While the performance is good, the quality of the metal itself feels a bit on the cheaper side. After using them on a few harder metals, I started to notice some wear and tear that I wasn’t expecting so soon. They held up okay, but I’m not sure how long they’ll last for tougher jobs. I guess you get what you pay for, but I was hoping for a bit more durability. All in all, it’s a solid 4-star product. It works well, especially for lighter or medium-duty jobs. If you’re working with extremely hard metals often, though, you might want to consider something a bit more heavy-duty. But for occasional use and basic projects, these hole saws are a great addition to the toolkit!

Are they all this good?
I needed to cut some holes in a metal diamond plate toolbox. Not the thickest metal, but not drill friendly in my opinion. I had an old bit lying around and I tore some teeth off it while trying to drill through. I then realized that not all of these bits are created equal. So I tried these and yes there is a difference. Was able to to quickly start the pilot hole and easily drilled the hole while standing over the toolbox. I didn't have to apply much pressure, as I just used the weight of the drill and slightly leaned into it. Unlike my previous attempt, there was no obvious damage to the bit.Its obvious I am an amateur here, but thanks to this little tool I got really good results just as if I knew what I was doing. I think its safe to recommend it.

2-1/2" TCT Hole Saw for Hard Metal
It cuts well on a sheet metal shop wall. But it was missing the set screw. Not cool. I basically had to scrounge up a small bolt with the same threads and pitch to hold the center bit in place, or my project would have been delayed.

Very nice hole saw set for steel
I am tired of burning up cheap hole saws that claim they are made for steel, but really can't hold up. Finally found a reasonably priced set here from Deckrkat that seems like they should hold up to some abuse. I like having a 2 pack. When something goes wrong, it's always at the wrong time. Having a backup on hand is great. Hopefully won't need it with these, but makes me feel good to know it's there. They are tungsten carbide tipped, and there is a good hunk of material on that tip. Seems like they should be good for quite some time. Included is about 1/4" pilot bit for holding center. Pilot bit includes a spring as well. They include an allen wrench for installing the pilot bit as well. All of this comes in a perfect little case to keep it all together quite nicely.Drilled my first few holes in 1/8" mild steel, and this bit ate it up. The pilot bit took a bit to dig down, but once the hole saw and carbide teeth started ripping, it was like butter. Made a nice clean straight hole.I can see using these both on my drill press, and also on handheld, with the ease at which they cut. Now I just have to go buy every size!
