A must Buy Tool for Home & DIY People- DCD778S2T
18v 13mm Combi (drill-Metal and wood , Hammer - cement & stone , Screw ) Is the most versatile tool. I was considering Bosch GSB 180-LI 18V - Which is cheaper. After an extensive research I bough Dewalt. Main reason Bosch Replacement battery are hard to find. I called 3 hardware stores they had Dewalt and did not have Bosch. You can also buy Dwealt Battery in Amazon. I had some difficulty in knowing difference between the tools. Summary at the end. I use Bosch drill bits have no issues with wood, plastic, metal drilling. Thing to note- Brushless will give longer battery life on a single charge. and is more silent. 1.5Ah is more than enough. (for home use brushed is fine as you probably would not use it as much for needing replacement) DCD778S2T is brushless - It has 2 gears on low and high. Low is super torquey. Battery charges in around 30 min or 1.5 Ah. I can make around 30 holes in cement and concrete in one charge. More than enough as other battery can be charged during that time. Pro: Good Quality construction. Fast charging Battery. Brushless. Light. Less Noise. Con:Provided battery does not have Battery Charge indicator. In India we dont drive that much screw in wood so we dont need drill driver or impact driver - People should only buy with HAMMER drill. Dewalt & black & decker is part of Stanley toos they have service centres in all major town and cities. Dewalt comes with 2 years warranty compared to Bosch which is 1 year. Guaranteed tough..!!! 100%
Best in class, battery backup is charm, drilling with hammering option is best. It can easily work with concrete, wood, metal. Mind the clutch and rotation speed settings in case of working with soft material. Really worth your money investing if you are carpenter or diy is your hobby.

Unfortunately D.O.A
Purchased DCD996 during Great Indian Feast for inr 23556 which was down from 35,000. Received carry case without cover box which at that point I should not have accepted. Upon opening the flimsy hardshell case I found 1 battery attached to drill and 2nd battery in bag. Charger was not in bag. Tried to operate with attached battery but was on 1 bar so put in charger. Waited an hour and battery was not charging. Close inspection I found the attached battery was cracked along the edges and had rust on the 2 center terminals. Proceeded to charge the other battery which didn't have any physical issues. Charged the battery until all 3 lights were full and tried in drill but only the light came on and the chuck would rotate a little bit then stop. There were no replacements only refund. So returned it. Local store sells 996 for 28,100. So put in an order. Hopefully others have better luck.

Dewalt's entry level drill driver
DCD777 is Dewalt's entry level drill driver. By providing a brushless 18v drill at this price, Dewalt is trying to lure customers into their 18v lineup. To keep the price low, everything is bare minimum on this drill. I bought it three weeks ago. Here are a few things I like and hate about it. The good. 1) Powerful brushless motor. Dewalt claims 65Nm of torque from it. Even more expensive Bosch GSR 18 V-EC produces only 60Nm. However, I personally have not verified this claim. I managed to produce around 50Nm during my testing and ended up having a sprained wrist. 2) Affordable. I bought it for 13k from Amazon. At that price you won't even get a 12v Bosch GSR 12 V-EC brushless drill. I am sure, the price will come further down after some time. 3) It comes in a Dewalt TStack case. If you have other TStack boxes, it can be stacked on top of it and can be locked to other cases using the two yellow latches provided on top of the box (see the picture). 4) Two years warranty on the product. This is the first time I am seeing a tool company offering two years warranty on their products in India. Typically, tools comes with only 6 months warranty. The bad. 1) Wobbling drill chuck. The runout of the drill chuck is huge. I noticed it after the 10 day return window. Otherwise I would have returned it. 2) Puny batteries. The drill comes with two 1.5AH batteries. This may be good enough for some light duty work. But if you are planing to do some serious work with it, get a good 4AH battery. 3) No charge level indicators on the batteries or on the tool. Dewalt's larger batteries do however come with charge level indicators. 4) Puny charger. The DCB113 charger that comes with the kit is good for nothing. It takes hours to fully charge a 4AH battery. But one good thing about the charger is that it can charge all Dewalt batteries including the Dewalt flexvolt batteries. 5) Flimsy forward and reverse switch. It is too weak and light. I am pretty sure that this is the first thing that going to fail on this tool.

Guter kraftvoller Schrauber. Zwei Akkus.
