I was looking for a chess set that would be easy for my 7-year-old to use and also durable, and this one has exceeded all expectations. The craftsmanship is beautiful, and the wooden pieces feel great in his hands. The best part is the foldable, compact design. It doesn't take up much space and is a breeze to put away, which is a huge plus. The magnetic pieces are strong enough to hold securely but still easy for him to move. One pawn is missing a magnet, and overall magnet quality is managable and practical. Quality of wooden board and pieces is the nicest I've seen this far. Attention to detail is amazing. Each and every piece is carved to perfection.

Had to order a replacement becuase couple of pieces didn't have magnets. But the replacemet was smooth and we have great looking chess. The price seems on a higher side but better than other avaiable models in terms of quality.

I play chess frequently and have three boards. This is my fourth purchase and the first time I bought this product. I am impressed by the quality of the Board, the quality of the pieces, the size of the pieces and the fact that we are given extra pieces. The size and thickness of the board is very good too. It is absolutely value for money. Serves well as a playing board. I wish they had provided a better bag to carry the product. I would have preferred a bag with better pouches and ability to roll the board rather than insert it into a sleeve, the pieces were also falling out. That being said, I would still purchase this even if the bag was not included. I highly recommend this product.

This is really a super product, but the price is little bit high

The packaging was bad .. I had to gift it... They placed taping on the box itself.. should have packed in a separate box.. secondly the product is damaged from inside... The magnet of the pieces are of low quality don't stick well.. not worth at all..

It's a decent product, overall quality is good, i felt magnets are weak at some places and board alignment could have been better, otherwise it's fine. 10x10 seems ok, 14x14 would feel better

Tournament-level chess set, Good weighted plastic pieces. One thing I dislike is that the join marks are visible on the black chessman. Smoothness is good, good for kids. It's great for fast games like Blitz and Rapid. Durable and Good for daily use. The vinyl mat quality is also thick. It feels nice, If you are new to the game the mat contain numbers to note the moves which is easy to learn.

A nice quality chess set. Bought it for our 9 year old grandson who spent a lot of time playing with it over the Christmas holidays. Highly recommend this product

Very portable on the go chess board. Quality made and feels rigid. The peices are nicely built. This chess board will surely build a conversation. And it's super cute!

I was a little nervous about ordering this set, as Amazon said it was a frequently returned item. I don't know what the reason for that could be, but the set I received is flawless. It is solid wood throughout, and the playing surface is made up of individual squares of wood veneer (some boards I have seen just have a single piece of wood with dyed or painted squares). Mine is the 7x7 model, and is kept closed by magnets rather than a metal latch. I think this is better, since it gives a cleaner look, and the magnets are plenty strong enough to keep it closed. The overall quality of workmanship is excellent, with smooth transitions between the two halves of the board in both open and closed positions. The chessmen themselves are very nicely made considering their small size. They are satisfyingly proportioned and easy to tell apart from each other. The magnets felt a little weak at first, but they proved to be strong enough to hold even the heavier pieces in place, even when the board was held sideways or inverted. Stronger magnets may actually be a bad thing, because it might cause the pieces to be attracted to one another and cause problems. All in all, I don't have a single bad thing to say about this set. It's an absolute bargain for the price, and I'm thinking of buying some of the other sizes. It would make an excellent gift.
