Awesome item, stays sharp for years

We had been using the same crappy yellow handled knife with microcerated blades ever since I can remember. But 10 years ago when I went to culinary school, I was introduced to victorinox pairing knives whilst working in Taj group of hotels. It has been a part of my knife kit ever since. I highly recommend this particular serated knife especially for Indian household kitchens as they are much much superior then the local quality knives that are generally used in Indian kitchens. My mother, my wife and our house maid absolutely love this knife, and I believe every household should have it. Hard to go back to the local quality knives once you have used this. Make sure you get the pointy tip serrated edge variant, as I haven't really found the rounded tip ones to be of any use.

This is the knife that people talk about when they say 'like a hot knife through butter'. It is super sharp, comfortable to hold, and very reasonably priced for a Victorinox product. I have taken over all the chopping duties in the kitchen since this arrived, much to my wife's amusement. I think I might go in for the one with the longer blade - the 11 cm example. The packaging was a bit torn when it arrived, but that does not take away from the quality of this knife. Having bought other Victorinox products before, I have no doubt that this will retain the same finish and quality as its other products even after years of use. A word of caution - you might use this knife with a lot more force than needed the first couple of times because you might be used to working with a duller knife, and that is a surefire way to cut yourself. Use it smoothly and carefully.
