Dark skin approved !!! A true neutral shade
I wanted to get this cushion foundation because I saw was Darcy trying it and she's like close to my skin tone but I'm slightly darker than her so I got shade 47N because I know some Korean foundations will show up different on the skin tone than it is in the packaging and when I put it on my skin it was quite an excellent match to the packaging I highly approve of this I feel like this is a true neutral undertone to it it's not too red it's not too Orange. And it's just the right amount of coverage I asked for it has a nice light to medium coverage and it has a nice glow to your skin without being oily this is good for the dry sensitive girlies out there but for oily skin probably not so much ( but if you have oily skin try the Espoir be velvet cover cushion) don't mind my makeup I use the cushion foundation as a base and I did use a slightly brightening concealer and some powder so keep that in mind when you're looking at my pictures.

Bye old foundation! Hello you đ„°
Iâm afrodescendant and I was a bit scared to try a cushion from Korea! But this one is not first on olive young for nothing! Itâs so GOOD! The shade is perfect! Ask ChatGPT based on your current foundation for the best match! It does not peel, it does smooth pore appearance, thatâs my main concern! I hate foundations that make me look like I have a lot of texture. My skin is normal/dry and I donât think it will suit somebody with oily skin, itâs very glowy! There is litteraly a small whole bottle of serum in it, it feels like you have nothing on. It gives a second skin look and feel! The cushion makes it so easy to apply! Iâm not going back to old foundation no maâam!!!!

Took a Chance, Glad I Did
Ads on social media for âcushion compactâ by this company intrigued me. The more Iâve aged (60+) with common issues of sun damage, frown lines, combination and sensitive skin, I knew I needed less âlayering,â which leads to caking in lines and spot concealers flaking, just bringing more attention to my problem areas. With the combination of sunscreen and skincare ingredients in this one product, I had to try. The first few days I kept my skincare layering. Then experimented with application techniques of the âcushion.â I wasnât comfortable with the sponge after the first try. Tried different brushes, and found an angled dense Kabuki brush worked for me. Each day I tried going without something from my skincare list, until I settled on only my eye treatment for puffiness, brightening serum for sun damage and a lightly brushed-on moisturizer lotion, correcting blur powder & setting mist. I let all these absorb while I brushed my teeth.Yes, as other reviewers have said it would probably help to offer a wider range of darker shades (reason for my one less star) but stay with me a bit. After applying my cushion makeup, I use a âbaked powderâ cake bronzer. The type that has swirls of different pinks (or peach) and browns. There are many online tutorials for contouring. With a soft blush brush, I tone & shade with the darker colors of the bronzer. Then lightly pickup some pink swirls with a smaller soft brush for cheek bones and a bit of the bronze swirls as eye shadow. This actually works better for me to blend out the hints of my sun damage spots on my cheeks, than one darker full coverage foundation. After the first week I wasnât sure whether I was doing something wrong or the compact was already running dry. I pressed my brush down hard on the sponge, and realized it just needed some pressure to âloadâ the brush. That one hard press was more than enough to cover my entire face, neck and chest area, LOL! (The upside of that was I learned how much product would actually cover my age spots.) So now I understand the palette flap, I can dab the brush and leaving some there, if itâs too much. I wish there was a refill option, but otherwise, this is the best my skin has looked and felt for a very long time.

Cakey skin
so i got two different colors, warm sand and cool rose and both werenât my color. thatâs my bad. but i put it on just to see what it looks on my skin. and even with setting spray, putting my serum and cream on and everything, it looks cakey. in the picture, the cakeyness is suttle but it really pops out in person or if i had a better camera. if you have a way to get rid of cakey foundation with every type of foundation, then get it. but if not and youâre getting this BECAUSE you have cakey foundation. then donât get this product. it sucks itâs expensive too because it just donât be working well. it feels wet and moist when you apply it but when itâs on, it makes my skin look dry. it hides red spots easier thatâs why i give it 2 stars but i care to have more of a smoother look to my makeup then hiding my red acne spots completely but having messy skin. actually wait no i just reapplied my foundation and power with my serum and cream and added more to it and now my red patches are gone and doesnât look cakey. so yeah this product isnât good. please i am trying to save you from wasting your money and time đ

Not enough product
First time trying this cushion as I saw a recommendation for it. The foundation itself is nice and lightweight with light coverage and can be buildable. I have combination skin and it sets fine through the day, no creasing, piling, breakouts, etc. My complaint is the amount of product in the pac. Iâve literally only used this cushion TWICE and itâs almost dried up. Iâve kept it covered so itâs not because of exposure. I usually get several out of cushions before I have to push the puff pretty hard into the cushion or flip it over but this one.. Only 2 uses and itâs already like this. Not worth $20 if Iâm only going to get a couple of uses before needing a refill.
