This camera left me genuinely impressed with its professional-grade design and versatile capabilities. It arrived quickly, packaged in a neutral box, and its metal housing and lens feel exceptionally well-crafted. The smooth adjustment mechanism for zoom, focus, and aperture adds a level of precision, and the ability to lock settings into place with a screw enhances its reliability. The camera body itself feels solid, and the USB cable is long and thick, making setup easy and secure. With a standard ¼-inch tripod mount on the underside, along with an additional stand, it allows for flexible positioning and tilting, making it easy to set up in different configurations. The image quality is good, though not as natural as the built-in camera on my Mac Pro laptop. Its light sensitivity could be improved, as low-light conditions introduce graininess, but this is something I’ve experienced with most cameras. I plugged it into my Mac laptop and tested it with Photo Booth and Zoom, all of which recognized the output easily. However, I couldn’t find a way to adjust the FPS or determine exactly what the camera was recording, as there seems to be a lack of obvious software on Mac for fine-tuning these settings. What the camera does exceptionally well is extreme macro close-up imaging. I was able to get incredibly detailed images, even capturing the individual pixels on my mobile phone screen with sharp focus. At around 40 cm, it delivers sharp, high-detail images, and at under 2 cm, it functions almost like a microscope. The USB cable design is well thought out, with a connector positioned 33 cm from the camera housing, making it easy to thread through walls. The remaining cable length of 260 cm provides ample reach, and with adapters, the range can be extended for surveillance setups. However, the reliance on USB 2.0 is a notable limitation, potentially restricting data transfer rates for high-resolution 4K video. One key limitation is that the camera is not water-resistant, making it unsuitable for outdoor use. For indoor applications, it’s decent, but I’m not entirely sure of its best use case beyond macro photography and industrial monitoring. Those using Windows may find better software compatibility, whereas Mac users might face limitations in adjusting camera settings. Overall, this USB camera far exceeds typical expectations, delivering exceptional close-up detail and precision, making it well-suited for industrial, surveillance, and creative use cases. However, the lack of water resistance and software limitations on Mac may be drawbacks for some users. If you’re mainly working with macro photography, it’s a solid, well-built option.

Some surprising results
I ordered this for a review as it looked like an interesting product. I wasn't sure what it would be like in real-world applications. The camera body is very solid and the USB cable is long and thick. The lens has a few screws that needed to be loosened before some adjustments could be made. I plugged it into a Mac laptop to view the camera output and loaded up the Photo Booth app. I also tried it with VLC and Zoom which worked too. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to adjust the camera's FPS or find out what it was recording. There seems to be a lack of obvious software on a Mac that can adjust these settings. The image quality is ok but not as natural as the inbuilt camera on my Mac Pro laptop. What is was very good at was extreme macro close-up imaging. I was able to get some very close-up images and focus them. Attached are a couple of images of my mobile phone screen and you can see the pixels. It's not water resistant so not really suitable for outdoor use, so I'm not really what this is best used for. But if you are on Windows and this it would work for you it's an ok camera.

Versatile and High-Quality USB Camera for Professionals and Hobbyists
I am genuinely impressed by this camera. The product arrived quickly, securely packaged in a neutral box. The metal housing and lens are well-crafted, with a smooth and precise mechanism for adjusting zoom, focus, and aperture, which can be securely locked into place with a screw. It's really a professional device. The camera features a standard ¼-inch tripod mount on the underside and an additional stand for flexible positioning and tilting. The image quality is excellent for its size, though the light sensitivity could be improved as the image becomes slightly grainy in low-light conditions (which is the case of all cameras I experienced in my life). Capable of capturing video at 3840x2880 resolution, this camera is primarily designed for industrial monitoring. However, its manual control of aperture and focus makes it suitable for creative uses. For instance, I found it to be a fantastic option for miniature filmmaking and macro photography. At around 40 cm, it captures sharp, highly detailed images, and at under 2 cm, it functions almost like a microscope. The USB cable design is practical, with a connector approximately 33 cm from the camera housing, making it easy to thread through walls. The remaining cable length is about 260 cm, and with adapters, it’s possible to extend the range for surveillance purposes. The only downside is its reliance on USB 2, which may limit data transfer rates for 4K video. This is not your average USB camera but something that takes quality and performance much beyond.

Good quality camera with great optics hardware
I’m using this to take high quality images of microelectronics to highlight quality issues from manufacturing. This camera is perfect for this use, although needs a good light level as low light situations aren’t handled well by the sensor. The cable is a good length and has a section approx 10cm from the camera housing which can be disconnected allowing for easy routing of the cable. The manual adjustment of the optics can be fixed in place using the thumb screws affixed to the individual adjustment rings on the outside of the camera lens housing. Plug and play straight from the box and has a strong housing and mounting bracket which includes the screws and plugs to mount the camera in place on your chosen surface.
