Really comfortable seat

I was REALLY pleased with this.Really comfy.Went out with my old saddle last week and only covered a few miles before I was unable to bear the discomfort. They might as well have used a lump of wood. I was having to refrain from sitting or perch myself on one buttock. Imagine if you had to go a long way ?Anyway, after coming back nearly crippled, I had a look through Amazon for a wider, more padded seat. MUCH better ! Now I can ride without feeling that I'm being impaled or slowly chafed to death.What I really liked though was that it came ready to fit. I didn't have to fiddle about trying to use the old fittings. Everything was there, ready to go and it was on in minutes. Just a quick turn of a suitably sized socket.All in all would highly recommend for anyone feeling posterially challenged.

A great seat, very comfortable, but perhaps not for everyone. I speak as an average ( if larger than average ie 16st ) male.First off, great padding - this is nicely built seat. But to be truly unisex, I suspect the front portion needs to be thinner. Also, it may be a good idea for the makers to reposition the switch for the (reassuringly bright) built in light. It's dead centre, so when you pick the bike up by saddle, you inadvertently turn the light on. Not a big issue, but one you might overlook in a hurry. It would be better a bit further in, or off to one side.My main concern was the shape. Again speaking purely as a man, I found it a bit wide in the crotch area. Absolutely fine for a woman (and I have moved it from my bike to my partner's machine, and she loves it) but I found I was getting - how can I put this delicately - compression in the tackle area.So, fellow males, it may be an idea to find something with more taper towards the front. Room for your stuff to hang, rather than being forced upwards ( especially on a hot day). Or maybe I just have odd tackle, as other male reviewers on this forum seem more than happy with the design.For ladies, you will love this seat. Really comfortable - but check the rear light every time you lift it around by the saddle. You will probably find you have switched it on.

These seats are absolutely amazing, socomfortable and the lights are brilliant and bright. Would highly recommend 10/10 and look cool on our bikes

I only fitted this yesterday but did 7 miles today and wow...it's like sitting on cushions compared to the saddle that came with the bike. Prior to this, I felt bruised for days on my bum after riding my bike even with a gel seat cover so I got this to see if it improved things. It really is a dream! I think because it's wider and more cushioned, it's much easier on the old bum. It was super easy to fit and have had no issues at all yet. Would highly recommend!

Well padded and quite comfortable. The rubber balls give the underlying saddle a firm base for the padding. My only concern is that the thick padding causes the leather cover to flex a lot and that could cause it to crack at some point. There's no sign of this yet and at this price I'd just buy another.UPDATE.I've been using these for years now and I've done maybe 7000 miles on them. The first lasted maybe 4500 miles before it started compressing and not bouncing back, so I fitted a new one. Then at the end of 2020 the one I was using became uncomfortable. I was ill at that time and lost a lot of weight in a short space of time, but then took anti inflammatory steroids and put all the weight back on. Result, a very flabby bottom. I've tried 4 other saddles over recent months including a massive wide one, a very firm memory foam one and a highly rated soft memory foam one. I'm now back on the DripeX. The other saddles all had their good points but all of them were uncomfortable. The DripeX isn't 100% comfortable but it's a good solid saddle and the Gel is soft enough to shape to your backside.I've realised I sit slightly off to the right of the saddle. It's nothing to do with saddle height , it's the metal pin in my right leg and my stiff right knee that is the issue. This leads to the left side of the saddle always being slightly more compressed than the right side. Only the DripeX has the right combination of being soft whilst having a pressure relief channel that works with this problem.They won't suit everyone (nothing does) but they are worth a good look if you have saddles issues and want a wider comfort type saddle. Adopt a fairly upright riding position with a relatively high handlebar position as a starting point and adjust as required. Happy cycling.

I bought this seat as my bike came with what might as well have been a brick for a saddle, literally no cushioning whatsoever and after my first ride, my nethers ached for days.So I found this seat and liked the colour, style and cushioning. It's really good, easy to install, nice and squishy for those longer rides, but for me it tilted you too far forward in the seat and wasn't comfortable. The fitting of my saddle bar means I couldn't adjust the tilt so I had to return it. I'd recommend it, but only if you can tilt the seat. Note, the saddle comes with a fitting that will allow you to tilt.
