So easy to install. Yes it’s that easy. Like in a matter of seconds my washer hose issues were solved. It seals and holds the drain in place. You don’t need sealant. You don’t need anything else. You buy this, make sure the hose fits through and that’s it! For my hose, I only had to cut a little bit and it fit through. This has lasted me for months. I haven’t had any other washer issues (more importantly no more flooding!). The hose stays in place. It’s been staying in place. This gave me so much relief you don’t know. Best Buy I could’ve ever found.

We had constant issues with the clothes washer drain over flowing from the wall outlet and ruining our new floors. My husband used the drain clog plumbing snake on every house drain outlet & ceiling plumbing escape that we have to hopefully do away with anything that might be clogging the flow of waters then we used this plug and so far it’s working. The only thing we had to modify is removing the little valve that it came attached with at the bottom because otherwise our washer outlet hose wouldn’t be able to fit.

It'd probably work well for most washers but the end of the drainage hose on my GE is pretty long requiring modification to fit right. I'm not going to dock a star just because of that. It's a good product that works. Definitely use scissors when adjusting the opening size because the rubber is really pliable for a good seal.

I ended up needing to take the flapper door off because it wouldn't open fast enough and water would still leak around the sides. Once the door is removed it works just fine

Purchased this to replace a rubber tension seal that had loosened over the course of 3 years through regular use. This stopped sealing in 3 months and filled our home with sewer gas smells. Spring or magnet or whatever is holding the seal closed needs to be stronger if it's expected to function over a long time, and failure isn't really an option when an item is protecting your home from sewer gases.

Had an odor coming up from my pipe! This plugged the pipe and no more odor! You can trim it if you need to! Perfect for the job!
