Ace Your SHRM Certification Exam: The Official SHRM Study Guide for the SHRM-CP® and SHRM-SCP® Exams 3rd Edition

I enjoyed this reference material and thought it was helpful, however this is not the only thing you’ll need to successfully pass the SHRM-CP class. I also purchased the SHRM learning system and with these two resources I felt prepared for the test. This book details what to expect from the test itself (as opposed to the content of the test) with information including test length, question type, study tips, etc. I think if you have extra money to spend it’s helpful to buy, however the materials with actual test question content should be the number one priority. Much of the information within this guide can be found online, for free, but having it in one place is convenient.

Studying for the SHRM, I bought a bunch of these books. All in all, they don't prepare you for the test at all.

I would not waste your time in buying this book. Just use the shrm tools. This book is really just how the test is structured.

This book does NOT contain the material needed to study. The only benefit I can see are the sample questions. Other than that the book gives study tips and advice on taking the test. You can easily find this on YouTube. For me it’s not worth the purchase. I will be returning it.
