An "Excel-lent" Book on Excel
Having been a user of Excel for many years, I was a bit dubious about any book that would supposedly teach me anything about Excel and its functions and capabilities. I was wrong. This book is a refreshing change from the bulk of instruction books on Excel. It is well-designed and very logical in its approach, with each step or function building upon the previous lesson. So many training or "how to" book authors often get distracted and take their readers down a "rabbit hole" that tends to confuse or overwhelm the reader. Not this book. It is logically progressive and provides easy-to-understand guidance on the most common Excel functions. I would highly recommend this book. It is an 'easy' read and will leave the reader with a solid foundation of Excel.

Helpful with bonus videos but ebook has formatting issues
The reason I gave this 3 stars is for the formatting issues in the ebook which should be corrected. It is a good guide for learning Microsoft Excel for beginners. I didn't notice a five-day plan in the book that the cover refers to. The video tutorials are helpful but the instructor's accent might be a little difficult to understand for some people. The books cover everything from basic data entry to advanced functions, helping you understand all the amazing features Excel has to offer in business and personal activities.

As someone who was completely new to Excel, I found this book helpful and easy to follow. It starts from the basics, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. The author does a great job of explaining concepts like cells, rows, and columns, and then gradually builds up to more advanced tools like formulas and functions, and the step-by-step instructions helped me understand each feature of Excel without getting lost. The added practical examples and video tutorials were simple and relatable, showing how Excel can be used for everyday tasks- like budgeting, organizing lists, etc. Overall, this book is a perfect starting point for anyone who wants to learn Excel from scratch. Microsoft office was educational for my needs.
Everyday, I use Microsoft office which I never pay attention on the various products over the years, ranging from the Windows operating system and workplace management software. I have learned that Excel is database software that was first launched in 1985 to assist businesses in their financial management. I use Excel a lot for my private business. There is a section in Chapter 8, Conditional Functions in MS Excel, there is a picture showing the COUNTIF function, which allows one to count the number of cells in a set that satisfies one single requirement. It teaches you the symbols of parameters that help logical operators (>, <, <>=) understand how it works and recognize the shortcut. There are a lot to learn, and I am going to keep this book with me for future reference and teach my kids the important of excel and other facts with the instructions and graphic design photos.
