This cooler is a perfect fit for the Raspberry Pi 5 and makes a big difference in temperature control. This cooler functions perfectly for me and my Pi. The fan isn't too loud and it seems to do a great job of keeping it cool, so overall I'd definitely recommend and would purchase again if needed.

The heatsink installed easily with 2 plastic pins to secure it to the RPI5. It feature a low height form factor to fit well for AI kit (Hailo 8L). In terms of functionality, it keeps the CPU temperature within 65C when running heavy work load. Overall, good value for money that works well to cool the RPi5.

Build Quality & Performance The build quality is outstanding. The cooler feels robust, and the heatsink fan produces strong airflow, efficiently maintaining lower temperatures. The thermal pads provided were of good quality and conveniently pre-cut, perfectly aligning with the specific components on the Pi's circuit board, making the installation process hassle-free. Also, the level of noise it produces is not even noticeable. Areas for Improvement However, there are a couple of points worth noting. The fan's power cable arrived unraveled, requiring manual winding to keep things tidy. Additionally, the mounting points that secure the cooler to the Raspberry Pi through the designated holes felt slightly flimsy. Unfortunately, during installation, one of the springs popped out and was lost. Excellent Customer Support On the positive side, customer service was exceptional. When I reached out regarding the lost spring, the Geekworm team promptly arranged for a replacement fan assembly and shipped it quickly. This high level of support significantly enhanced my overall satisfaction with the purchase. Final Thoughts All things considered; I’d rate the Geekworm Active Cooler H505 a solid 4 stars. It reliably performs its job, effectively keeps the Raspberry Pi cool, and the outstanding customer service provided makes it an easy product to recommend.

I've tried a variety of cooling options for Raspberry Pi 5 and this is the best. It maintains consistently lower temperatures than others under the same workload and it has the advantage that it makes contact with more heat sources on the board. I especially like the fact that the fan speed automatically varies according to temperature. So far I've had no problems with the thermal pads. However, on a couple of my RPI5s, I'm trying out an innovation suggested by another contributor which is (ironically) to forego the heat pad on the ARM processor and just use thermal paste. Because the processor is more prone (sticks up more) than the other chips, this has the effect that the heat sinks clamps more tightly to the other heat sources while still maintaining direct contact with the cpu. Having the cooling mounted on the board rather than the case gives you many more options for enclosures. In addition, the unit does not interfere with any of the various HATs I've tried so far. So a good design with all expandability options remaining open.

Tried couple of other active coolers, and this one is the best. Perfect fit, good quality, very quiet, 5 cooling pads vs 2-3 in competing products.
