the diagram showing, with/length of devise is miss leading
the 0.95in measurement is not the with, that the strap attaches to the opening slot is 3/4s wide. strap on motorcycle helmets are min. 1inch wide. the manufacture state /fits all motorcycle helmets/ it doesn't. now i have to order a different devise that quotes the correct measurements. RJW

Not for standard motorcycle helmets
This is not a universal fit part for helmets that have the double-D ring. This is 1/4" too small for the change to a ratchet style. I do have a ratchet style and yes this could be used as a replacement, but the intent was to switch from the double-D.
