How to Form a Nonprofit Corporation in California Fifteenth Edition

This is an excellent resource. I used it extensively in putting together my application for non-profit status in California and to apply for a 501(c)3. Many useful sections with actual wording you can use. Four stars instead of five for two reasons:1. I ordered the Kindle version. While I have two monitors and can refer back and forth between my application and the book, I found using the book at a bookstore was easier than Kindle. Also, I first accidentally ordered the more generic version of this book, it is not state specific. The covers look identical except for the phrase "in California."2. If you are using this for a church, some of his examples are simply not useful. I had to look at other examples from friends to get better, more appropriate, language.Nonetheless, I highly recommend this book.

This book is very informative

This book is amazing! My husband and I are starting a nonprofit organization called Purrfectly Pawssible. Which is an animal rescue and because of this book we did not need an attorney. This book has everything you need and has even better recommendations in it for more books to help on the same topic, like fundraising. It breaks everything down so you can understand and explains things on all the forms you need that an average person would not normally understand. I highly recommend this book to anyone starting up a non profit.

Not only does the information contained in this book cover all aspects offsetting up a nonprofit, but there are sample forms to go along with the explained material. The information contained in this book is also very easy to follow. I give it a 10 and highly recommend it for anyone starting a nonprofit of their own. Read this book and expect to be greatly educated!

These Nolo Press books are the definitive how-to guides for all sorts of things. This book leads you through the somewhat complicated process of setting up a California non-profit. I've worked through a bit of the book so far, and I have quite a bit further to go. The writing style is straightforward, and the instructions are very clear.

This is a clear, easy to understand guide to starting a nonprofit in California. I wish I read it before I began the process. It would have saved me a lot of problems. Don't go to a paralegal. Go here. It's all explained.

This book offers literally everything a new non profit corporation could want and need! Each page is detailed and provides references to other pages for more explanation. I absolutely love it. I will be able to get my corporation up running in the next month.
