Do not buy these
These are horrible. The plant roots cannot penetrate them so they gets root bound.

Not all seeds grow in these
I have found only certain types of seeds grow in these tubes. I have one of those grow lights with the water and these go into a plastic container that slides in the hole of the lamp. I only use these during the winter as I have found during the summer. It's too hot even when it's indoors. The lights are too hot and I have tried using a glass and did not have the same growth as I did using the grow lamp during the winter. I will be using these tubes again when winter comes. I have had different people with different experiences than myself using these. Not everybody has the same results with seeds because everybody gets their seeds from different places and some sprout. Some do not. I have had eggplant and zucchini do excellent in these but no sooner. Do I put them in the soil they would die. Believe it or not I have had better luck growing things in water than in soil. I live on the East Coast of Florida towards the bottom where it's extremely hot and humid. Things die during our summer but do well from our winter starting in December. Up until May. These pods do very well for me during that time, especially when you live in hot climate.

Fits AeroGarden once soaked
I nearly sent these back because they looked too small for my AeroGardens. However, once soaked for a few minutes they swelled up to the same size as the genuine AeroGarden sponges.

Roots don't take hold
They look ok and hydrate fine. But most of my seeds don't root into them. The roots curl up inside the hole and then the tiny seedling falls out.

These sponges are great.
These sponges are great they will not mold and supports plants great. Very pleased it's great having fresh greens at your fingertips. I also punched seedfrom Amazon also very happy with their quality.

fits aerogarden
I worried at first that they were too small until I soaked as instructed. They now fit the frames well and work as well as the originals.
