I found John's book to be very helpful after practicing with him for a couple of years. My understanding is that IPP is such a living practice—thus best enjoyed as a facilitated experience. That said, I've found this book endlessly helpful for those in my circles that are familiar with the territory already.I wouldn't recommend reading it as a first taste of IPP, but the text has been a deep nutrient to accompany regular practice.
