The button to engage the real broke.
I bought this rod and real combo back in June 2023. I have had the pleasure to use this pole a total of 3 times. Fist the real locks up during cast and gets rats nest on the inside of the real. Second the button broke during cast. The reason for the 1 stars is the pole itself is a sturdy yet flexible pole good for setting on good sized fish. And there’s no warranty on this item. Wish it was better but it’s not.

Worth the money
It has a metal thumb button. It is definitely tough. I use this for skipping lures and those kind of goofy casts where you are likely to backlash your bait casting setup. The spincast is much forgiving. This thing can cast pretty far, further than I thought a closed faced reel could.
