I used it to measure Gabapentin to help our cat with her extreme anxiety before a vet visit. 100 mgs the evening before and 100 mgs the day of the vet visit (about 1 1/2 to 2 hours before the appointment). With the vet's approval, I was able to go a little higher the day of the vet visit (200 mgs about 1 1/2 hours before the appointment as our cat is 15.5 pounds). I had confidence with these spoons! No guesswork here! Measurement accuracy is essential and you have it with these spoons. Still, regarding Gabapentin before a vet visit for your cat, please check with your vet directly ahead of time.
