This is a simple and effective vegetable slicer that does a good job at slicing The simple design works well but for older people this may not be ideal as you need to apply a reasonable down force to slice harder vegetables. Ive mainly used this for chips so far and i have found you need to place your potatoes centrally or you end up jamming the potatoes on the edge and then have to clear the mess before continuing. Cleaning is simple enough but the slicing blades are obviously a bit more awkward to thoroughly clean, especially the grid cutters (i use a small bottle brush) The price seems reasonable for what you get here.

This is an interesting cutting that I expect to mainly use for cutting potatoes for fries. The blades for this comes in two sizes, one the size of fries you would typically get in a burger bar and the others slightly smaller. The blades are sharp but I find for hard potatoes that it takes a lot of pressure to push the potato though the blades. As the unit is enclosed which makes less mess, you have to empty it after each potato is cut. In addition to the standard square chips the cutter also cuts potato wedges in two different sizes. Obviously you can cut all sorts of other vegetables in the cutter. On the downside the blades take quite a bit of cleaning after cutting and you have to be carefull as they are very sharp.
