X431 PRO3 ACE

I have been a full time automotive technician for 18+ years and now current diagnostic tech/shop foreman. I needed a tool that would be reliable and also have coverage for all the various vehicles that come into the shop. Nothing is worse than picking up a scan tool booting up and connecting to a car and then finding out it does not have the feature you need or that it is not compatible. This is where the x431 pro3 ace excels. Note this does have Auto auth capability for FCA vehicles you will need to register. After unboxing I was presented with 2 solid cases - one for the scan tool , DBSCar VII interface, charger and other cables. In the second box is all the pre obd2 adapters and some more cables. Booting up for the first time the scan tool came with almost 100% charge, I registered it with Launch and used the serial number and code within the plastic envelope on the square white sheet of perforated paper. Note do not lose this number or code. The whole set up process took less than 3 minutes and then I was ready for updates. After performing 98 updates the tool was up and ready to go and put this tool through the paces on every vehicle that I encountered. Now I have been using the x431 pro3 ace exclusively for the past 2.5 weeks on every vehicle that comes in , pre and post scan , full diagnostics - From American , Asian , European vehicles I have not found any issues at all with compatibility. I like it so much my other scan tools sit and collect dust. After clicking intelligent diagnose the vehicle will begin the scan. The topology map is awesome and helps a lot with seeing what module is on what network as well. The overall scan is very quick and the longest scan I experienced was less than 1 minute and that was because the vehicle had a lot of modules. In the topology scan it will turn red if there are faults , green if no faults detected. On top of the scan screen for most vehicles there is a button for commonly used functions. After the scan is complete you can view a report and either print or email with the fault codes , vin and even attach a photo. Things I found very helpful with this tool, the graphing function when viewing live data is very quick with no delay and accurate to help you come to a diagnosis. The tab on the main screen that says Service Function, as shown in my attached photos this will list all of the most common functions without you having to scan the vehicle and select the module individually to find where the function is. The camera is very sharp if you are in need of taking pictures of a concern or just want to attach a photo of the vehicle to the report, It also can do video recording. Coding for certain vehicles has functioned perfectly as well. You can also email reports and photos from the device with various different methods. The device stores the scan results if you need to go back and recover previous faults. And lastly I am quite forgetful and have lost several small scan tool adapters due to being left in a customer vehicle - The screen will notify you and beep at you to not forget the vci in the vehicle after you finish a session. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the Launch x431 Pro3 Ace. For the money it does more than most tool truck scan tools that cost way more in tool price and update cost. After testing over 75 vehicles I have found this device to be very capable and can function as the main tool in a shop. I also like the fact that you can add hd truck or motorcycle to it later if needed along with battery tester and tpms tools from Launch which will all work with this device so no need to buy another scan tool. For anyone looking and trying to choose what to buy in this price range I definitely recommend this one!

After using the X-432 PROE ACE scanner for a while, I’m really impressed with how much it has to offer. Right out of the box, it was ready to go. The 10-inch touchscreen display is a major highlight—it’s large, bright, and very responsive, making it easy to navigate through the various functions. The interface is intuitive, so I didn’t need to spend a lot of time learning how to use it. One of the standout features is the comprehensive diagnostics. It covers everything from engine and transmission to ABS and SRS systems. I’ve even used it to check on the battery management system and airbag modules. It’s clear that this scanner goes beyond just basic code reading—it gives you in-depth data that’s crucial for diagnosing complex issues. Another feature I love is the Bi-Directional Control. Being able to perform active tests on components like fuel injectors, valves, and pumps without having to dive under the hood is incredibly convenient. It’s like having a direct line of communication with the vehicle’s systems, which has saved me so much time. The live data stream is also top-notch. You can view multiple parameters at once, and the graphing capability helps to identify trends and issues at a glance. Plus, the data can be recorded and played back, which is great for reviewing or sharing with others. The X-432 PROE ACE also shines with its advanced ECU coding and adaptations. This is useful when working on European cars, where you need to reprogram control units. The process is straightforward, and the scanner guides you through each step. WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity are other big pluses. The scanner receives regular software updates, so you’re always up to date with the latest vehicle models and diagnostic protocols. The wireless connection means I can move around the garage without being tethered to the car. In terms of build quality, it’s solid. It feels durable and well-constructed, which is important when you’re using it in a busy workshop environment or if your clumsy like I am. It’s also portable enough to take on the go if needed. I also enjoy having the ability to have access to the play store to add other tools I use on modified vehicles and the ability to transfer user manuals in pdf to use on the go if needed. The only minor downside is the price, but considering the wealth of features and the reliability it offers, I think it’s a worthwhile investment. If you’re serious about diagnostics, the X-432 PROE ACE is a tool that won’t disappoint. Overall, this scanner has exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s powerful, easy to use, and packed with features that make vehicle diagnostics a lot more efficient and accurate. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a professional-grade scanner.

If you work on higher end cars, even if you don’t, this is an amazing scan tool. The bidirectional diagnostic functions is excellent and works great for Porsche products. I have used this to set custom coding for customers needs. One thing that I really like is how many adapters this kit came with. It’s literally everything I’ll need for years to come. I also really like that the VCI is not directly plugged into the OBD port but rather it’s hooked up with a short pigtail. For me this is much more elegant and makes it just overall easier to use. The tablet is insanely ruggedized and surely will handle bumps and bruises just fine. I like that there are two USB ports on it. The seller also shipped lightning quick.

I really love this scan tool. Went from a Snap-On to this. Much easier to navigate plus 3 years of free updates. cannot complain

I had to buy a new scanner because my last one was stolen. As soon as I unboxed it I was impressed. It came fully charged and its so much faster than my last one. Everything is laid out in front of you it's so easy to use. I wouldn't even want to try any other scanner. Does everything and more.

USA user. Scan tool works alright. Customer service while buying the tool was great. After sale customer service is awful. They don't email you back. The IM feature on the scan tool for technical assistance does nothing. Remote help, nobody connects unless you personally have a buddy that can help. If you're on the fence about buying this or a name brand tool with actual assistance, buy name brand.
