Awesome, well-made, beast of a swim parka that puts all other parkas to shame. Love that I can change with it on!
This is the swim parka I SHOULD have gotten the first time! It's amazing in the best possible ways: It's super warm and cozy for those frosty swim mornings. It may be too warm for the summer months but I can always wear my Nike parka which is much lighter but then I'll lose the ability to change while wearing it. I will be able to change with it on and that's an amazing and totally helpful thing for a swim parka to be able to provide (and so obviously helpful - why aren't all swim parkas made like this?). I can tell that it is very well made and the zippers (often a point of failure) seem sturdy and well made for years of use. It's a small detail but illustrates the careful thought that went into these parkas; It's so helpful that the main zipper can be operated from the inside as well as the outside of the park. I love all the pockets, inside and out, although I'm a little bummed that the cell phone pocket is just a little too small for my phone but, in fairness, that has more to do with the massiveness of my cell phone with the monster battery pack case than the size of the cell phone pocket. The hood and long sleeves (versus the short sleeve version) are also a plus, in my opinion. This parka should be great for after those early morning, cold open-water swims too, even in the summer!Make no mistake, this parka is a beast, thick and heavy, but also sturdy and well-made, oh, and expensive, of course. But, as they say, you get what you pay for. Thanks to DryRobe for making such a high-quality product! I really appreciate finding products that are well-made. It's easy to tell that they take pride in their products and pay attention to details. For the record, I purchased my DryRobe on my own so this review is completely independent, in case you were wondering.5/31/2018 AM Update: DryRobe responded the morning of the next business day since I contacted them after business hours the previous day. They immediately apologized for the flaw in the product and will be sending a replacement soon. They have agreed to reimburse me for the cost of returning the parka with the flaw, which was quite a bit more expensive than I expected.I sent the original, flawed parka via FedEx on 5/30/2018 and emailed copies of the shipping label and the receipt for shipping costs. They have assured me that the replacement parka should be shipping soon, hopefully today. I will update my review as things progress.5/29/2018 PM Update: So, once I got home, I noticed there was a small flaw (gap) in one of the inside seams where the hood lining connects to the rest of the inside lining. I have contacted the company, DryRobe, using the Amazon email system and sent them a photo of the issue, and will await their response before making any substantive changes to the review. I still think the robe is amazing but any manufacturer can have small errors like this. I really hope it's no big deal and they get it sorted out quickly. Until then, standby...

Expensive but quality and warm
I bought the 5'2"-5'10" and I am 5'10" it fits like a proper jacket but with enough room to change skivies. I had ordered 2 sizes up but that was superhuge so I sent back. It hurts to know these are about 25$ wholesale but it is the only option that is high quality in the US.

Perfect for returning from pool aerobics
Now after my pool aerobics classes I will have no need to shower with others especially now during the Covid crisis It’s warm and waterproof to wear over my swimsuit for the short drive home thank you to my son in Devon recommending I buy one it’s cold in the winter in the USA

Too loose and heavy.
Size Large on the first image shows it's just too big and loose for 5.9/185 and very heavy.Size Medium on second image shows the sleeves are much shorter than the size large, and heavy too. Because it's made so loose from the hips down, it's for overweight people, I think. I am skinny, so the coat is loose to the whole body.Good thing only is that the Dryrobe warm and long.

Cold Water Swimmers Rejoice
I am a year round ocean swimmer in Sitka, Alaska. I skinned three months this year and the rest with a wet suit. This dryrobe is fantastic for getting warm after a swim. It also keeps my car seat dry on the drive back home. Most robes say you can get your arms inside - this one delivers. One thing I would change is to move the bottom of the zipper up by one foot.

Perfect for when the weather is cold, wet and windy
I do alot of ultra marathons and speed hiking in all kinds of weather. So you can imagine what it's like at the end when your activity is over. Putting this thing on at the end is a game changer. Instantly warm and cozy. I change out of my wet clothes and into a dry set in it. Its awesome. My girlfriend cant wait to use it at her sons football games when the weather isn't so nice. A definite buy for anyone on the fence about it. You wont be disappointed.

Amazing Dry Robe
My husband and I both bought this dry robe. We used in a cold water swim in the Atlantic and we put the robes on after and they were amazing! We we’re warm and dry in minutes and we changed our clothes right on the beach under the robe. Fantastic item.

Overpriced - Ok for walking your dog but won't last a season for pro use.
Ok first thing to say is that it does its main objective. It keeps you warm and dry.You can get changed in it.HOWEVER.This is an expensive garment. And for £140 I expect it to BE PERFECT.It is not.1 - after a couple of months the lining is separating owing to crappy stitching. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.2 - There is no hanger loop to hang it up - a penny cost in manufacturing. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.3 - The zip is problematic and sticky which makes it really fiddley which is really what you don't need in cold 30 knot wind. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.4 - A pro garment like this should come with a Velcro flap over the zip so you don't need to endlessly keep zipping it up and down when you're working in it in the cold. This issue is compounded by the fact that the zip is not really good enough for fluid and effortless use. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.This garment should be max £80 as it is.

Dryrobe v Charlie McLeod
My wife and I recently took up sea swimming with the regulars at our village on the Suffolk Coast. Without exception they use Dryrobes, but we were curious to compare Dryrobe and Charlie McLeod. So, thanks to Amazon's free returns policy, we got one of each and tried them out at home.We ordered a Medium Dryrobe and a Small/Medium Charlie. They are about the same size and plenty big enough, but we are quite small (5'6" and 5'4").There are pros and cons to each. Charlie wins on pockets and style and general 'feel', whereas Dryrobe wins on its weather proof features. Of course we cannot test the waterproofing of the Charlie, because we decided to return it, and we have not yet tested the Dryrobe in seriously wet conditions. But, according to the product descriptions, the Dryrobe IS waterproof, while Charlie is only showerproof. Furthermore, the Dryrobe is fleece lined all the way to the bottom, whereas Charlie's fleece stops at the knee. And Dryrobe's main outer pockets have zips, so if you don't want to put your hands in your pockets you can zip them up and keep the rain out. Charlie DOES have an excellent outer, zipped breast pocket, which is missing from the Dryrobe.Charlie has absurd stretchy cuffs sewn into the sleeves. These would drive you mad I think, and are unnecessary because the sleeves can be gathered at the wrist and are plenty long enough. But you could always cut them out. Charlie's sleeves are slightly longer, Dryrobe's sleeves might not be long enough if you have long arms.Charlie is a nice garment, but, in our opinion, Dryrobe is better, so we kept the Dryrobe. But it was a very close contest.

Short & Expensive For What It Is
I bought this even after speaking with someone at dry robe.... It only came just below my knees which is not what the pictures showed or what I wanted. The zip was hard to use and it was extremely expensive for what it was. Plus it has dryrobe written in massive writing all over it (front and back), so you pay a lot of money to be a walking advert for them! Not impressed.

Great for outdoor swimming
Update after 7 months (used about once a week): dropped one star. I still love the robe but the zip on this one has been getting stuck; I often need to step in and out of it as it won't unzip at the bottom easily. It is also very bulky and I have wondered if I would have been better witha smaller size. Good size for changing but not for wearing on to/from the swim and wearing in the post swim pub/cafe visit! Still love it and would have struggled swimming through the winter without it.Original review: I really love this robe and wish I had bought one sooner. The first just used a towel wrapped around me,then got a towelling changing robe which was incredibly helpful when changing to free up bith hands and change quicker and easier. Then, after trying one on from someone else, bought this one. It is really warm and great for changing under and wearing before and after a swim to stay warm. Much warmer than the thick/ski jacket coat I was wearing as my top layer before. It is very bulky so I need to wear it to the swim, instead of my coat, as otherwise it takes up most of my bag. I walk and get the bus to my most frequent swim spot at the moment. I previously used to cycle but think this would be tricky with the robe. When deciding on a warm changing robe I picked this one because it had long sleeves - which were very worth getting - was waterproof, had a hood, and had velcro sleeve cuffs. I am tallish and slim (size 10 and 5 foot 10) and found the Large a good size for me. Very bulky but a good amount of space to get changed in. I love the navy and grey colour. My only two niggles are the zip is sometimes quite fiddly to get started and I wish there was a chest height pocket inside to fit a hot water bottle. There are two inside pockets - one zipped waterproof, one not - but the second is in a bit of an odd place (too low down) personally.

Great for surf lifesaving clubs/open water swimming
I am a lead coach for a surf lifesaving club down on the south coast. This product is fantastic and I can see why they are so popular with open water swimming. When you get out of cold water, your body temp continues to drop. This product drys you and gets you warm before the after shock takes a hold. The pockets are big and keep your hand warm if you are waiting around. The zips all have little toggles of them which makes life a bit easier when your hands are cold. They are pretty bulky so if you are not keen then I would suggest getting the compression bag too or you can sort of roll it into its hood and secure with a bungie. Still trying to work out a way of personalising mine as when you have a whole SLS club with them it might be tricky working out which one is yours. Not cheap by any means but I can see it being a long lasting essential bit of kit for me.
