THE BEST Teaser Toy - My Cat is Obsessed
This is the best teaser toy I have ever purchased in 30 years. I bought one elsewhere and then purchased a second teaser wand here on Amazon, because my cat likes it so much. The way the feather attachment is made, it spins and flutters in a very realistic way. My cat is crazy about it. She is literally obsessed with this thing. She will run to it meowing, wanting to play, and also drags it around the house. The feather toy holds up fairly well, but of course, the feathers will break off some over time with the rough play from a cat. Nonetheless, my cat still likes it. I bought replacement feather attachments for when the first one wears out. The "Sparkler" attachment (shiny ribbons) is also a huge hit. It's worth the money.

realistic and a great success
After a month, my cats still go crazy over this toy. It is one of the few cat toys that is actually worth paying for. Usually I buy a bunch of toys that either don't interest the cats at all or aren't any better than a string, a paper bag, or a cardboard box, right? It's great exercise for my young male cat since he repeatedly leaps in the air to catch the "bird". For indoor cats who never get enough stimulation normally, you can't go wrong with this toy. The other great toy is their mouse-like toy. The mouse is small with a similarly realistic skittering movement across the floor - it's great for my "bush" cats (ones that prefer to stay lower).Pros:- cats don't get tired of it like they usually do with toys- *** makes it super easy to have "interactive play" with your cat without bending, waiting for the cat to stalk the toy, etc.- cats love it so much they will pick it up in their mouths and carry it off to play with in private so i have to let go of the pole :-)- extra stimulating for my "tree" cat who loves to get up high and climb- long pole allows you to "cast" the "bird" far enough, which allows the cats to run and leap- very well designed- quality materials will last and feel strong- attractive feathers- designed to sound like something flying through the air- feathers are real so they smell normal and not like plastic- fluttery, unpredictable movement seems realCons:- Cats play with it so much they will probably break the feathers soon. This means you really must hide it away where they can't get at it or they will drag it out and tear it up.- possible consideration that it's practice for catching low-flying birds... but for indoor cats it's great- none I can think of: materials, design, usability, attractiveness, utility, success rate are all top notchThe tensile string is made of string that's stiffer than usual (it's not metal wire), which encourages a twisting movement; feathers are real and are on a metal fastener that can rotate 360 degrees. The feathers are attached well so even with some mauling they have not yet come out of their fastener.I left on vacation for more than a week and my friends had a much easier time playing with the cats - for real - than usual. So often people don't know how to play with cats so they just pet them and feed them but it's otherwise boring when I'm gone. This toy makes it more fun to play with the cats because the cats really respond to it and look very cute playing.

Our cats BEG for this toy!
Our cats are about 3 years old and they're strictly indoor cats, so excercise and entertainment is really important. Unfortunately they're very picky about their toys and get bored easily with most them. But THIS toy - Da' Bird - is AMAZING. The cats absolutely love it and they'll chase it around for 10 - 15 minutes, then they start to get a little tired and lay down. This is a good thing! It means they're getting needed excercise, and on busy days when we don't have much time to spend with the cats we can just break out "Da' Bird" for 15 minutes or so and the kities are happy.PROS:- Cats LOVE it and never get bored with it. I would be amazed if anyone ever found a cat that didn't love this toy.- Gives indoor cats great excercise and fun!- Replaceable attachment feather kits are easy to buy here and stock up for when they start to get too chewed up- GREAT way to spend quality time with your cat "quickly", and it's time that will bring you closer to your furry friend(s)CONS:- One of our cats loves it SO much they he YOWLS at us EVERY NIGHT until we give him his 15 minutes of Da' Bird chasing time! (not really a "con", but I have to admit his persitent mewing can be annoying when the timing for play is not good).- While the replaceable / refill feather attachments are a convenience, I can see that this could get very expesive if you let your cat get too agressive with it. Some other reviewers havee mentioned their cats go through the attachments quickly. Our cats aren't quite as agressive I guess, because we only have to replace about once every 2 months. But in the end, no matter what toys you get for you cats you're going to spend ongoing money. So this isn't truly a "con" but I'm just trying to be objective for sake of this review.- The string seems like it could be a bit stronger. It's starting to fray at the attachment end.- I don't like the metal "fishing lurec clip" style of clips for the attachment - it makes me nervous that the cats might damage their teeth, so we're pretty careful by watching how they get ahold of it, and never yank on the string hard when a kitty has the lure in his mouth. But aside from this "picky" review, SUMMARY:AWESOME CAT TOY! OUR CATS LOVE IT AND NEVER LOSE INTEREST! MAKES US FEEL GOOD SPENDING TIME WITH THEM AND GETTING THEM HEALTHY EXCERCISE! HIGLY RECOMMEND!

The cat loves this toy
The cat loves this toy so much I have to hide it until it’s play time. We’ve been playing with it every day for almost 2 months and so far everything’s holding up, though the feather dangler is getting mangled from being chomped so much. Just watch that the cord is not getting wrapped around a paw! - it’s very thin and would definitely hurt your cat if pulled too tight.

Best Cat Toy on the Market
I bought this for my 10 month old kitten as a Christmas present. It took him a week and a half to destroy the feather and two weeks to destroy the string (he's a chewer), but he loves this toy so much that I had to place another order and get him replacement feathers to go with it. This toy constantly keeps his attention and the movements of the feather and string create realistic sense of prey that he can hunt. The Da Bird Go Cat Rod is amazing and I highly recommend it. My only suggestion for those who buy feather toys is to put them up at night so your cat won't destroy them as quickly. I cannot recommend this toy more to cat owners.

She loooooves it
She loves it! Since purchasing Da Bird my cat cannot get enough of it. I've had to set strict play times with Da Bird so that she still plays with her other toys. She can happily chase and swat at this for an hour -- even if she's exhausted!Update: DaBird will need to be replaced, as the feathers are not durable and break after being attacked frequently. Replacements are $6ish. Also, as was the case with mine, the string knotting DaBird to the rod may come undone. A good product but not durable -- use with care!

Cats are obsessed
My cats played with this and all of them including the older ones were jumping and running around. 10/10 would buy again. The little buggers even slept after rather than keeping us up all night.
