Not quite a 5-star light, but a definite keeper!
I purchased this Neewer HS60B light on my never-ending quest for the perfect lighting for my photo & video needs. I'd seen it advertised before but never gave it much thought until I saw it pop up for sale for under $100 at a time when I was preparing to shoot a series of educational videos. I was debating between this and a slightly larger but significantly more powerful (85w) Raleno light for the exact same price. I really like them both for different reasons. My initial impression of the Neewer left me seriously questioning my purchase. Here's why I'm choosing to keep the Neewer HS60B and return the much brighter Raleno...Advantages of the Raleno light: Super bright (wow, those extra 25w make a huge difference, especially with the included reflector). Very good build quality. Option to power with batteries. Standard Bowens mountAdvantages of this Neewer: Size - it's as small as it looks in the videos. More power options (AC adapter, NP batteries, USB-C via charger or portable charger). Carrying case.Deciding between these two lights presented me with quite a conundrum. In terms of lighting, the Raleno is a clear favorite being much brighter, offering much better build quality, and having a Bowens mount. I'm not going to be happy returning it, especially since it is priced exactly the same right now. But I'm keeping the Neewer HS60B mainly because (1) it is bright enough for my home office/studio, and (2) its size and more flexible power options, esp the option to use a portable USB charger, make it much more versatile. The inclusion of a compact carrying case is a big plus in terms of portability. I really wish it had a Bowens mount, but there an optional adapter you can get. I opted for the 12" lantern softbox (around $33), which is super easy to use, super portable, and just a perfect fit for this light without requiring much space (an issue for larger lantern softboxes). There are so many great ways to use this powerful little light. My biggest concern is build quality. Out of the box, the knobs for both brightness and temperature are a bit wobbly. They work fine, but it is definitely not Swiss or German engineering! I'm tempted to go back and add the 3-year Assurion warranty. For this reason, I'd love to give this just 4.5 stars or a touch less. One other note. With the combination of size/portability, power, and bein bicolor, this light has me rethinking how i might shoot outdoor portraits (still images). The carrying case is not much larger than that of my AD200 strobe, and while it won't overpower the sun, but as long as I'm not shooting in full sun, this light will be bright enough in most situations - again adding to the versatility of this little workhorse of a light.

Incredibly powerful little light
This little spotlight is way better than expectedI have the neewer led panels and their larger spotlight as well. But if you are recording / shooting in a small space. This little light has been the best option by far. I love my larger neewer spotlight but it’s actually so bright I never need to use it at full brightness. This at full brightness is perfect for my small setup where I’m taking full body photos and video in a 14’ x 11’ areaPlus it’s easy to carry around, feels like it was built well, great interface and easy to charge. Though I pretty much always have it connected. No flicking or wonky activity when using it while charging, which I heard is a concern with other brands. But this is a purchase you will not regret. And with most people needing multiple lights for an optimal lighting setup, may want to get 2 or 3 of these. It also comes with a nice carrying bag but it’s so nice and small I never need to use it

Great light on a budget, hits above its weight class
This light is amazing. The light is extremely bright for being a 60-watt light, and considering how small it is, the colour accuracy is pretty up there as well. The fan does get a bit loud when you're on full blast, but you won't really hear it if you're using a decent microphone. You could also sample the room tone as well and just remove it like that. The only thing I could really complain about is that the bag's fabric handle isn't that great, it ripped after a few days, but to be completely honest, that was probably my fault as I was carrying this with my other equipment so I could have had other things resting on the bag adding to the weight.

Pretty darn good
You don't buy the light because it's going to light up a set; you buy it because of the form factor and RGB capabilities.I saw the sale price and said, "Why not?"It's half as bright as the Aputure Storm 80c and also almost 1/4 the price. How often do we encounter a situation where we need a small light in a tight space (interior of a car, behind a plant, rigged to a low-ceiling) to get ambiance or another form of light only to have the fixture be too fat to fit?The square shape is ideal, as it stands apart from its competitors' cylindrical models. I'll use this for interior of vehicles, headlight gag, porch light, building security light... anything that doesn't require me getting a C-clamp, safety chain, extension cord, pony clamps to hide the cord, etc..This is just another light to have that'll make for a handy solution with professional results. By professional, I mean prosumer-level and a bit above. The power button is on the side, but the menu, toggle and screen are on the back. Keep this in mind when you rig it.
