Make sure you find a way for it to stop moving around as it vibrates a lot, I've placed mine on top of a soft string woven storage box and I cant hear it. Bit of trial and error as i tried taping it up and bubble wrap. Best thing in my opinion is placing it on something soft.

I ordered this pump as the illustration indicated I was ordering a like for like part. I recently bought a used ex display biorb halo 30 ltr and the pump was quite noisy. Thought best to get new pump before adding fish. I have just received a biorb pump which looks totally different and considering the postage I could have ordered elsewhere via amazon for less than half the price!!! Having said that the pump work very well and so far so good with regard to the noise levels produced. It is I would say 60% quieter than the old pump. I would suggest to the seller to provide an illustration of the actual pump they are selling....

Very pleased with the speed of delivery and with the item.Purchased to replace an original pump on a biotube tank. The new pump is smaller and substantially quieter....to the point I think I've gone deaf!!Will purchase again.

I was sent this product, which differed from the one advertised and was exactly the same as the one I was replacing. The reason for replacing the product is because it can be very noisy and vibrates, sometimes it vibrates so much, that it ends up falling off the plinth and also it is not very reliable as sometimes the air bubbles in the Bio Orb stop completely and we have to unplug it and take it apart to get it working again. Hence the reason I thought I was upgrading to a more powerful version, but got sent the same one instead. Really unhappy with this product. It is not fit for purpose and takes a lot of maintaining and fussing around.

Small and powerful produces lots of bubbles. Started off quiet but is very loud now, louder than my original. Would buy another

Excellent fish tank pump - bought to replace one that was no longer working very well. The difference was noticeable immediately!

Immediate improvement to the tank as the last pump stopped working after 11 years use! However, it is very noisy, have wrapped it in a towel!
