I use aluminum flat bar like this occasionally for small projects, and ordered these two 12 inch pieces just to have little in stock. This flat bar looks just like any other I’ve bought in the past. There are slight marks in the surface from the extrusion process as well as some surface scratches. Those could be polished out if you really wanted a shiny surface, but that’s typically not a priority with structure material like this. The price on this is also quite competitive at $8.99 for two 12 inch pieces of 1 x ¼ inch aluminum. You might be able to find a lower price per foot if you buy a larger quantity, but this price is decent for short lengths like this. If you need some aluminum flat stock in this size, this is a competitive product to consider.

This is NOT 1/4" bar. If you need 1/4" DON'T BUY!
