Great. But...
Battery is great so far. But I wish I would've noticed the actual Dewalt battery is only a dollar more on amazon

Should Work Well For My Purpose + 1 Year Update On Longevity and Size
Update - I've been using the first 2 of these batteries for a year and I love them so I just bought nos. 3 and 4. I still use them for the purpose I wrote of previously but mostly I use them in my impact driver and drill. These tools draw a lot of power, but only in short bursts. One of these in my impact driver lasted three 6-hour days of deck-building. Importantly, these batteries are smaller (and a tad lighter) than the OEM DeWalt 3 Ah batteries, coming in at the size and weight of a DeWalt OEM 1.5 Ah battery. This is important as these tools are often used one-handed.Original Review - I'm not a pro, just a retired homeowner with a medium-sized lot that's about half wooded with mostly oak trees. Oak trees drop branches as well as leaves and they're constantly trying to multiply (from little acorns grow...you get it). I also have a few shrubs with maniacal growth rates. A couple of months ago, I bought a DeWalt Atomic compact reciprocating saw and a couple of 6 Ah after-market batteries to power it as it helped with the endless pruning chores, and the occasional rusty bolt. As this New England winter has been mild so far, I had a chance to test it out and I quickly learned two things. First, the saw and batteries work great and, second, the 6 Ah batteries are heavy and make working at or above shoulder height, or at arm's length , pretty tiring. I got these 3 Ah batteries because they're so much lighter and I'll use them for the kinds of jobs I mentioned and use the 6 Ah batteries for work lower to the ground. These batteries work and charge great so far and the only reason I've given them 4 instead of 5 stars is that things like longevity and run-time can only be assessed through use. They're more expensive than other after-market batteries, but I'm hoping I got what I paid for.
