THESE ARE BEAUTIFUL. EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. They are CRYSTAL CLEAR. I use these for small perfume samples, and I really wanted a nice clear label to print onto so that they looked invisible on the glass. if you go for Niimbots direct thermal printers, the labels are more matte and thicker—due to the heat-activated layer in there to allow for the heat of the printer to make the image. These, however, made for the thermal TRANSFER printing process—where an actual ribbon of black material inside the printer is bonded directly on the label material with heat—makes it so that the label material can be much thinner, and made of this absolutely CRYSTAL CLEAR material (some sort of PET or BOPP?). The image attached is a blank label on the glass bottle. Yes, it’s very difficult to see it. That’s exactly what I wanted. :)

They are great to use and easy to load.

Once the label printer is set up it works well. It is well made and the print quality is good. The labels are black and white and are easy to read. The app comes with several templates and looking on the web there seem to be a lot of choices. I installed the NIIMBOT M2 on both my Windows PC and my Android Phone. The latter was the easier but it could have been easier. On Google Play, I did a search for NIIMBUS and several symbols popped up. The one that seemed to be the correct one was labeled "old". Since the other choices looked like apps for regular printers, I chose the one labeled old. It installed on my phone. I started it, turned on the Label Maker and it found it on blue tooth and set it up. I looked through the templates that came with it and clicked on it to print it. So I had made the correct choice in the app! On the PC I attempted to use the USB cable. But first the instructions said that I should download the app from the website. I did that and when it was installed it said that I needed to install the driver and gave me a place to click. That click yielded a myriad of choices of models. Fortunately when it is turned on the screen shows NIIMBUS M2 and after a bit of scrolling I found that choice and installed it. I had it connected via its USB cable but on the right hand corner of the app it said not connected. Nowhere did it say how to connect. But in that same corner it said login so in desperation I clicked that. I was then asked for a telephone number and when I gave it (make sure that you have country code 1 on the number) I was texted a four number code. When I input the code it connected. (Obviously there is no security in this.) So I can use it with my PC and with my phone. It is a nice device. With better software and instructions it would be easily rated 4.5. I will use it. The label roll that comes with it is short so I ordered a longer roll from Amazon (9$ or so with tax).

Accurate size. Good value for the money. Good quality up costing and good print quality. Very functional.

Niimbot purposefully withheld information that would have been a deciding factor in whether to buy their printer or not. The last bullet point says that they have a chip in the roll of labels, that if damaged would prevent the "Printer effect". What they really meant to say and didn't say is, this printer runs solely on proprietary labels and no other labels will work on our printer. And don't try to be bright and respool the spindle with some other brand of label, because our little chip will allow the printer or app to count off how many prints you are allowed per spool, then you gotta replace it with a new one. Works out to just over $0.0528 per label. And the printer has limited sizes of labels it can use. ONLY Niimbot labels of course.

Requires niimbot software and proprietary labels but is not bad for the price. Next time I'll probably spend 4x more for the Zebra
