Great lock and really easier to use. Is rather heavy and doesn’t fit most bike lock travel holders. Most secure bike like I’ve ever used!

From the description I thought it was 26cm in total, and it's only internally. In total is 33cm, I found it a little big. I wouldn't have bought it knowing it was 33cm. There is no way to fix it on the bike. You have to figure out the way. But it's very strong.

I’ve been using this lock for about 2 years now, and today it finally happened - some thieves broke into my bike storage and went to work on it. As shown in the picture, they managed to cut through one arm, however this was insufficient to let them pull it out, and so they started trying to cut through the other side and at the top. It must have taken them too long in the end, or maybe they couldn’t get a good angle, but either way, they left it! I’m thankful I invested in this lock as it did save my bike - another bike in the same storage using a cheaper lock got stolen. So while no lock is 100% indestructible, it does seem like this one presented enough of a challenge for them to give up on it.

Super strong although heavy to carry in your pannier but unfortunately top security is needed when you have an e bike!

Amazing product, for safety and piece of mind

So this is undoubtedly a great lock, but nothing is angle grinder proof! So this is at the maximum of what I'd spend for a U-lock, as anymore money, is just down the drain I feel, especially if buy the really expensive chains, as once they have grinded through them, you are just gifting the thief a chain as well as your bike. The only thing to look out for with this U-lock is that it's a bit narrower than some other comparative U-locks, so may not fit around some gates that are a bit thicker, if using to secure gates at your home.

I bought it to discourage someone and I think it will do it . heavy and sturdy product is not convenient to carry with you without backpack but I took it for the garage . really happy for the purchase.

Excellent product, very heavy duty construction. The key is also well built and stands up to continuous use. The lock gives me confidence that my bicycle is well protected.

This is a large U-lock with plenty of reach between my frame and back wheel to secure it. The best place I've found to carry it is on my handle bars threaded over my handle bar extension.

La sua dimensione permette di legare insieme la ruota anteriore e il telaio al palo/a rastrelliere alte. Mi hanno rubato una precedente bici e avevo un lucchetto Kryptonite, che però non sono riusciti ad aprire. Sono riusciti a rubarla solo tranciando il cavo. Quindi per me i lucchetti (lucchetti, eh, non i cavi) Kryptonite sono una garanzia. Questo modello è pesante e ingombrante. Ma dopo l'esperienza passata, questo lucchetto almeno mi permette di assicurare sia ruota anteriore che telaio.

Das Kryptonite New York LS ist nur eines von vielen Schlössern, in dieser Qualitätsstufe, die ich besitze. Das Schloss macht einen sehr massiven Eindruck und wie man es diversen Testergebnissen entnehmen kann scheint es auch sehr widerstandsfähig gegen Aufbruchversuche zu sein. Also genau das was man von einem Schloss dieser Preisklasse erwartet. Zudem ist es gegenüber anderen Schlössern dieser Klasse recht preiswert, ich habe es für 69,66 EURO erworben. Das Schloss wird mit drei Schlüssel geliefert und ohne Halterung. Der größte Vorteil den ich gegenüber den meisten Konkurrenzprodukten sehe ist in mein Augen zugleich auch der größte Nachteil dieses Schlosses. Das Schloss besitzt eine recht schmale Bügelbreite, Diese kompakte Bauform ist von Vorteil wenn es darum geht das Schloss am Fahrrad zu befestigen oder es zu transportieren. Zudem kommt dies der Aufbruchsicherheit zugute. Kritisch wird es dann wenn man versucht sein Fahrrad an einem dickeren Rohr (Laterne) zu sichern. Da kann es schon mal eng werden. An Verkehrsschilder passt es allerdings. Zusätzlich gibt es von Kryptonite zum Schloss auch noch eine für ein Jahr kostenlose Fahrradpolice dazu, welche online abgeschlossen werden kann. Diese kann verlängert werden, ist aber dann nach dem ersten Jahr Kostenpflichtig. Alleine die Tatsache dass der Hersteller eine solche Police anbietet gibt mir das Gefühl, das der Hersteller hinter seinem Produkt steht - finde ich richtig gut:-). Abgedeckt wird der Grundpreis bzw. der anteilige Grundpreises des Fahrrades, in Abhängigkeit der Sicherheitsstufe des erworbenen Schlosses. Diese Stufen sind von 1 - 10 gestaffelt. Das Kryptonite New York LS ist vom Hersteller der Sicherheitsstufe 9 von 10 zugeordnet, was im Schadensfall eine hohe Deckung bedeutet. Dies ist nur eine grobe Beschreibung der Police, genaueres ist der WEB Site des Hersteller zu entnehmendes. Fazit, Massiv, Preiswert plus dem Mehrwert der enthaltenen Police. Ich würde das Schloss wieder Kaufen und kann es guten Gewissens anderen Interessenten weiterempfehlen.
